Start with Shadowtooth Emissary in Felwood, summon Spirit of Agamaggan in Razorfen Downs, then defeat three Delirious Ancients in dungeon instances and return with their Wild Offerings. The reward is Rune of Primal Energy, which teaches the rune.
What you need before starting
Improved Frenzied Regeneration is a Druid Bracer Rune, and the listed minimum level is 50. Its teaching item is Rune of Primal Energy, awarded to Druids through The Wild Gods quest. The quest’s initial acceptance is individual and cannot be shared, although one group member can handle the Wildwhisper Draught step for the party.
- Reach level 50.
- Accept The Wild Gods from Shadowtooth Emissary at Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood, at /way 51.5, 82.
- Bring a group able to clear Razorfen Downs and later dungeon encounters, or make the required runs over multiple lockouts.
Complete The Wild Gods quest chain
- Accept The Wild Gods. Find Shadowtooth Emissary at Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood (/way 51.5, 82). Each character who wants the rune must accept the quest individually.
- Get a Wildwhisper Draught. Defeat elite trolls at Jintha’Alor in the Hinterlands to obtain the draught. Only one member of a group needs to complete this step and have it.
- Summon Spirit of Agamaggan in Razorfen Downs. Clear around Amnennar the Coldbringer, use the Wildwhisper Draught to summon Spirit of Agamaggan, and speak to him. This advances the quest, gives you Agamaggan’s Roar, and opens the step to collect three Wild Offerings.
- Collect three Wild Offerings. In one or more eligible dungeon lockouts, trigger a ghostly creature, then use Agamaggan’s Roar near it to summon a level 52 elite Delirious Ancient. Defeat the Ancient for one offering.
- Claim and learn the rune. Return to Shadowtooth Emissary with all three Wild Offerings. The Druid reward is Rune of Primal Energy; use the item to learn Improved Frenzied Regeneration.
Where to earn the three Wild Offerings
You can use any combination of the listed dungeons. You do not have to visit all three: the ghostly creature can be killed once per dungeon lockout, so you can repeat the same dungeon in later lockouts.

If you want to farm one route repeatedly, the guide recommends Princess Theradras in Maraudon or Zul’Farrak as faster options; choose based on your group and dungeon access.

Other reported ways to get the rune
Capital-city vendors
A Wowhead guide labeled Patch 1.15.8 reports that class runes and class skill books can be purchased from vendors in each race’s main city. It also warns that learning a rune from a purchased item may interfere with some related discoveries or quests. Because this is a patch-dependent option reported by a third-party guide, consider the potential quest impact before choosing it over The Wild Gods route.
Getting the rune on an alt
After completing the Wild Gods rune quest on one character, the guide describes an account-bound token, Emblem of the Wild Gods, sold by Pix Xizzix in Booty Bay. Mail it to the alternate character and redeem it at a Rune Broker. Listed broker locations are Stormwind’s Cut-Throat Alley (57.5, 26.9) and Ironforge’s Forlorn Cavern for Alliance characters, and Orgrimmar’s Cleft of Shadows and Thunder Bluff’s Spirit Rise for Horde characters.
