How do you hit a low driven shot in FC 25?
- Get into a shooting position and aim. Choose the part of the goal you want to target. Attributes, position, angle and defensive pressure can all affect the outcome, according to EA’s shooting guidance.
- Briefly press and release the configured shoot input. EA describes the FC 25 technique as a “short press of the shooting input.” In this game, that short press is the low driven technique; do not add a second press as a modifier.
- Release early. FUT.GG’s FC 25 guide advises releasing before the power bar reaches 40%. That practical threshold is from the guide, not EA’s update notes.
If you want the precise button label for your setup, check Pause > Settings > Basic Controls during a match, or open Learn to Play > Practice Arena > Button Help. EA notes that controls vary by platform and configuration.

When should you choose a low driven shot?
A low driven shot keeps the ball down, making it a useful choice for close-range chances and one-on-ones. Pick the shot based on the trajectory you need, the goalkeeper’s position and how much time you have.

These are general shot-selection distinctions in EA’s current help guidance; its low driven button instructions specifically cover FC 26 and FC 27, not FC 25.

What does the Low Driven Shot PlayStyle do?
EA introduced the Low Driven Shot PlayStyle and PlayStyle+ in the FC 25 Legends Return update, published March 10, 2025. EA says the PlayStyle significantly increases shot accuracy, moderately increases ball travel speed, and moderately increases how quickly players perform the requested shot. PlayStyle+ has the same effects, tuned to be more effective. These are qualitative descriptions; EA did not publish percentages or measured success rates.
EA lists the PlayStyle and PlayStyle+ as available in Football Ultimate Team, Career Mode (Youth Academy Players and Player Career), and Clubs.

Why FC 25 instructions differ from FC 26 and FC 27
EA’s currently available help page describes a double-tap modifier for low driven shots in FC 26 and FC 27. That is not the FC 25 method: in FC 25, use a short press and release of the shooting input. Check the game and control configuration before following a button combination from a guide for a later edition.
