Which God cat are you trying to unlock?
The names are easy to mix up, but these are separate features with different unlock requirements. The Cat God is a battle miracle option; Cat God the Great is a cat you can add to your lineup. The requirements below are reported by the community-maintained Battle Cats Wiki page for The Cat God and its Cat God the Great page. No official PONOS help page confirming these unlocks was identified, so check the in-game information if a later update or regional difference changes what you see.

How to unlock The Cat God miracle feature
- Clear Korea, also known as Nagasaki, in Empire of Cats Chapter 1.
- Open the Upgrade Menu.
- Purchase The Cat God for 2,000 XP.
The Cat God does not function like a normal unit you deploy from your lineup. He offers miracles during eligible battles. The wiki says he is available only in Main Chapters, with exceptions including The Big Bang, Zombie Outbreaks, and the Aku Realms; it also lists Legend Stages and Catclaw Dojo as unavailable.
What to know about the miracles
- The first use of Baby Boom is free; later miracles cost Cat Food.
- Clearing Cats of the Cosmos Chapter 1 permanently reduces miracle costs by 70%, according to the wiki.

How to unlock Cat God the Great
Complete Cats of the Cosmos Chapter 2 to unlock Cat God the Great, a separate playable Special Cat. The Cat God the Great page also reports that he evolves into Cat God the Awesome at level 10, then into Cat God the Golden at level 30 using one Gold Catfruit, Catfruit, and XP. Those evolution details are not needed for the initial unlock.
