Why humidity matters
Some Pokémon ask for their home to be more or less humid. Their comfort is connected to the area’s environment level, which also tracks progression toward additional challenges and items. Nintendo explains that requests can include changing a home’s humidity, brightness, or other conditions in its July 29, 2026 preparation guide.
How to raise humidity
Plant and water vegetation
Add plants, grass, and trees near the area you want to improve, and water them. Insider Gaming’s guide reports that these changes raise humidity gradually. It does not provide a per-plant value, required quantity, or reliable time-to-effect, so use the environment display rather than aiming for an assumed count.
Complete humidity-related requests
Talk to Pokémon displaying request bubbles and follow requests that ask for a more humid home or advance a related habitat. A gameplay guide describes request completion as a more direct way to progress than relying only on landscaping, but does not quantify the humidity change. Check the Pokémon’s Pokédex entry for its preferences before adjusting its surroundings.

Withered Wastelands: what to do if progress stalls
For the Withered Wastelands progression, GameSpot’s March 5, 2026 walkthrough points players toward requests involving Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Slowpoke, including “Yawn up a Storm,” and creating the “Rain Dance Site” habitat on the route to freeing Onix. Treat this as a suggested route, not a mandatory order for every player. If the humidity objective is not moving, check for these requests and the habitat step rather than repeatedly adding plants without checking progression.
How to check whether the area improved
- Inspect the Pokémon. Talk to any Pokémon with a request bubble and read its Pokédex entry for environmental preferences.
- Check the Pokémon Center PC. Nintendo says its display shows the area’s environment level, individual Pokémon comfort, and progress toward the next level. See Nintendo’s preparation guidance for the feature description.
- Review habitat options. The Habitat Dex lists known and unknown habitats and information about the Pokémon each habitat attracts, according to Nintendo Australia’s Pokopia tips.
- Make one relevant change, then recheck. Water or add vegetation, or advance the request that matches the Pokémon’s need. Use the PC and request status to decide what to try next.

What about the in-game Humidifier?
Pokopia Tracker describes an in-game Humidifier as an item that increases humidity nearby. The tracker says it becomes craftable after registering 260 Pokémon and uses Pokémetal and Glass. This is an in-game item, not a real-world household humidifier; its reported requirements are from the tracker’s item guide.
