If you mean an official promotional code, sign in to your Call of Duty account, link a gaming-network account, then redeem the code at Activision’s official site or the promotion’s branded link. If you mean a hack, trainer, or device that changes gameplay or gives an unfair advantage, Activision’s policy prohibits that conduct and allows sanctions. There is no single cheat-code list for every Call of Duty game; campaign codes and inputs depend on the specific installment and mode.
Official promotional codes and gameplay cheats are different
| Meaning | What it does | Where it is used | Key condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Promotional or giveaway code | Redeems offer-specific digital content | Activision’s redemption site or the promotion’s own link | Eligibility, platform availability, and account limits depend on the offer |
| Cheat software or gameplay-manipulating device | Can alter gameplay, stats, or game data, or provide an unfair advantage | Used alongside or within gameplay | Activision identifies such conduct as sanctionable |
Activision’s code-redemption instructions concern promotional and giveaway codes, not universal campaign cheats. Its Security and Enforcement Policy addresses cheating and gameplay manipulation.
How to redeem an official Call of Duty promotional code
- Sign in to your Call of Duty account, or create one.
- Check that at least one gaming-network account is linked to your Call of Duty account.
- Open callofduty.com/redeem. If the promotion gives you a branded redemption link, use that link instead.
- Enter the code and select “Redeem Code.” If prompted to choose a platform, select one linked to your Call of Duty account.
- Restart the game if the content is not visible. Activision says it can take up to 24 hours to appear; if it is still missing after that, contact Activision Support.
Activision says most promotional digital content is available on gaming-network accounts linked to the Call of Duty account, but some offers limit content to one gaming-network account. Codes can also have account limits, including some 2XP codes. The terms of the specific promotion determine who can redeem it and where its content appears; do not assume a code is active or universal without checking those terms.
Fix common code redemption errors
- “Invalid Code”: Check the entered characters and make sure you are using the link and instructions for that specific promotion.
- “Code Already Redeemed”: The code has already been used.
- “Max Limit Reached”: The account may have reached the offer’s redemption limit, or it may not be the account that redeemed the other code.
Why hacks, trainers, and gameplay-manipulating devices are different
Activision’s policy, updated July 31, 2026, states: “Cheating/Modding/Hacking will not be tolerated.” Examples it identifies include aimbots, wallhacks, trainers, injectors, and certain input-mapping software when used to change or facilitate gameplay for an unfair advantage, manipulate stats, or alter game data. It also names unsupported external hardware or applications used to cheat, including modded controllers and lag switches.

The policy says detection may use client- and server-side systems, monitoring of applications running during gameplay, behavioral anomaly detection, and hardware-integrity checks; player reports may also contribute to enforcement. These are policy descriptions, not a way to predict whether a particular player will be detected or penalized.
What sanctions does Activision say are possible?
Activision says penalties can range from temporary bans to termination of a player’s license. Its policy also says hardware bans apply to devices, may affect online gameplay across Call of Duty titles, and are not eligible for appeal. The account holder is responsible for infractions on the account, regardless of who was playing. These are possible outcomes described in the policy, not a prediction about any individual case.

Looking for a code for a specific Call of Duty game?
The title alone does not identify an installment, platform, or mode, so it cannot establish a reliable universal list of campaign cheats, keypad inputs, or unlock codes. Those instructions must be verified for the exact game and mode. For digital promotional content, use the offer’s stated redemption route and terms; do not treat a promotional code as a gameplay cheat.
