If the accounts are not linked, connect them through Epic’s account settings first. Choose the correct Epic account before changing any links: Fortnite progress from separate Epic accounts cannot be merged.
Connect your PS5 Fortnite account to PC
- Choose the progress you want to keep. If you have played on both PC and PlayStation using different Epic Games accounts, decide which account’s Fortnite progress you want to use. Epic does not combine progress from separate Epic accounts.
- Sign in to Epic with the PlayStation account that has that progress. In a browser, use the PlayStation sign-in option on Epic’s website. Follow the prompts to identify or complete the Epic Games account linked to that PSN account. The email address on your Epic account does not need to match your PlayStation account’s email. See Epic’s platform-sync instructions.
- Check the linked accounts. In Epic account settings, open Linked accounts and confirm that the PlayStation account is connected to the Epic account you intend to use on PC. If you already use a different Epic account on PC, check both accounts carefully before linking or changing anything.
- Sign in on PC with that same Epic account. Open the Epic Games Launcher and use the Epic Games account identified in the previous steps. Launch Fortnite.
When both platforms are connected to the same Epic Games account, the progress and eligible purchased content associated with that account should be available on both. V-Bucks are an exception; see Epic’s cross-platform purchases and progress guidance.
What carries over between PS5 and PC
Epic says Fortnite progress and purchased content are accessible on linked platforms when they use the same Epic Games account, with V-Bucks excluded from that cross-platform access. Linking accounts does not transfer one account’s history into another: it makes the progress associated with the connected Epic account available on the linked platform.
If your PS5 and PC have different progress
First identify which Epic Games account holds the progress you want. Epic recommends checking each account before changing links. If the PSN account is linked to one Epic account and your PC uses another, their Fortnite progress cannot be merged, and Epic Support cannot combine them. You must choose one account’s progress to use across platforms or keep the histories separate by continuing to use two Epic accounts. Read Epic’s sync troubleshooting guidance.

Before unlinking or switching accounts
- Confirm account identity first. Make sure you know which Epic account contains the progress and purchases you want. A console displays the progress of the Epic account linked to it.
- Do not unlink casually. Epic warns that an unlinked console loses access to the progress and purchases stored on the Epic account. Starting Fortnite on the unlinked console may create a new, empty Epic account. See Epic’s console-unlinking instructions.
- Check the platform restriction. If you want to connect a different PlayStation account, Epic says the same-platform linking restriction can be removed only once every 365 days. If an active Fortnite Crew subscription is on the platform account you plan to remove, Epic advises cancelling it first to avoid losing future rewards. If you see unexpected progress, verify which Epic account is signed in and which account is linked to PlayStation before making changes. Use Epic’s sync troubleshooting guidance to restore the intended account connection.
