Hollow Knight has a bank run by Millibelle the Banker in Fog Canyon, just west of Queen’s Station. It costs 100 Geo to open an account, and the account holds up to 4,500 Geo. Deposits are protected if you die—but Millibelle can flee with the money once you meet a specific condition, and you must find her to recover it.
Where to find Millibelle’s bank
Look in Fog Canyon, just west of Queen’s Station. Millibelle stands behind a small bank counter. Her pitch is that carrying Geo is risky; as she says, “Losing one’s Geo is a terrible thing and it’s so much more likely if you carry it about on yourself.” The Hollow Knight Wiki reproduces the in-game line and cites the official manual.

How the bank works
- Account fee: 100 Geo to open the account. The fee is not returned.
- Maximum deposit: 4,500 Geo.
- Protection: Geo deposited with Millibelle is retained when you die and can be withdrawn, up to the account limit. This can spare you the usual risk of losing carried Geo if you fail to recover your Shade.
That protection is useful, but the bank is not a permanently safe place to store Geo: Millibelle can leave with your deposits.
When Millibelle leaves with your Geo
Her departure is triggered once she holds at least 2,550 Geo. You must then rest at a Bench or use a Stagway, and visit the bank again. The stand will be abandoned. The account’s 4,500-Geo capacity is separate from this departure threshold: reaching 2,550 Geo does not make her disappear immediately.

How to recover the Geo
- After the bank is abandoned, go to the Pleasure House hot spring in the City of Tears.
- Find Millibelle there and strike her with the Nail. Geo will fall out for you to collect.
The wiki describes the payout as roughly 1.5 times the amount deposited, subject to the game’s drop mechanics, and reports a maximum recovered amount of up to 6,834 Geo. Treat that maximum as a possible mechanics outcome, not a guaranteed fixed payout.

Use Millibelle’s account if you want to keep deposited Geo safe from the normal death-and-Shade recovery risk and are willing to deal with her scripted departure. Keep in mind that the 100 Geo fee is lost, and that after she flees, recovering your deposits requires a trip to the Pleasure House and a few Nail strikes.
