A survey associated with the Metal Gear Production Hotline at Tokyo Game Show 2025 asked fans which games they would like to see remade. It was a request for preferences, not an announcement that any candidate had been approved or put into production.
What did Konami ask fans to choose?
Coverage of the survey reported this wording: “Please select all of the following Metal Gear series titles that you would like to see remade.” Because respondents could select all that applied, it was a multi-select preference question—not a vote to crown one winner. Reports also noted an “Other” option. Push Square reported the survey wording and options; PC Gamer covered the survey and related broadcast questions.

The broadcast survey also reportedly asked what viewers wanted to hear about in future programs, including Master Collection Vol. 2 and other series developments. Interest in hearing about those subjects is not evidence that they are planned remakes.
Did the survey name a winner or confirm a remake?
No published vote totals, percentages, or ranking establish which title was most popular, and the survey itself does not confirm any new project. The title’s “you get to choose” framing should therefore be read as fans being invited to express preferences—not as Konami handing them the decision over a confirmed production slate.

Konami Games Support has said it cannot reveal details about future games and releases that have not been made official. That is a general statement about unannounced products, not confirmation that a particular remake is in the works. What has Konami said about its next Metal Gear project?
In an interview reported by PC Gamer, producer Noriaki Okamura said “the next project hasn’t been decided yet.” He described a remake and a new project as possibilities, and said the approach to a remake should suit the individual game rather than automatically repeat the method used for Delta. This is conditional interview reporting, not a product announcement. PC Gamer’s interview report.

Which Metal Gear remake is officially established?
METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is Konami’s announced remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. In its May 24, 2023 announcement, Konami described it as a faithful remake and named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Delta is a concrete example of a remake Konami announced; it is not proof that another one is underway. Konami’s announcement of METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER.
How does Master Collection Vol. 2 fit into the story?
Konami announced on August 3, 2026 that METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 would release on August 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. That release date has passed as of October 8, 2026. The announcement highlighted Metal Gear Solid 4 in the collection’s event presence, but it does not establish the collection’s current retail availability or detailed contents. A collection release is also distinct from a remake announcement. Konami’s PAX West announcement.

What can fans reasonably take from the survey?
The survey provides a snapshot of the games Konami asked fans about, spanning the original Metal Gear titles through Metal Gear Solid V. It does not show which option received the most support or what Konami will make next. Until the company announces a project, each listed game remains a fan-preference candidate rather than a confirmed remake.
