Kingdom Hearts IV has not been confirmed for the next PlayStation State of Play. Sony had not announced a date for the next broadcast on its official State of Play page as checked on October 8, 2026, and no official source reviewed confirms KH4 will appear. Fans can hope for news, but claims that the game is on the event’s lineup remain speculation.
What fans are hoping for—and what is confirmed
Some fans have been hoping for a KH4 trailer at PlayStation showcases. In a community megathread about the June 2026 State of Play, commenters expressed that hope; the thread’s edit notes that the event ended without Kingdom Hearts news. That is an example of fan discussion, not evidence of what most fans expect or what Sony plans to show. The June event megathread

How to find out when the next State of Play is
PlayStation describes State of Play as a video program for PlayStation announcements, updates and trailers. Its official FAQ says broadcasts are scheduled throughout the year, but gives no fixed interval or guarantee about which games will appear. The page checked on October 8, 2026 displayed material for the September 3 broadcast and did not list a later date.
