Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems“Most reviewed” can mean the games with the most critic reviews or the games with the highest critic scores. The ranking below answers the second question: it lists Metacritic’s highest-rated games of 2019 by weighted critic score, as reported in a year-end top 15 that excluded ports. It is not a ranking by review count.
Metacritic’s top-rated games of 2019
Video Games Chronicle reported this Metacritic year-end ranking on November 26, 2019. The figures are Metascores—not numbers of reviews—and tied scores share a position in the reported order. Read VGC’s report.

What “most reviewed” means—and what this list measures
A review-count ranking would sort games by how many critic reviews they received. A Metascore ranking instead sorts a weighted average of critics’ scores. VGC’s report describes Metacritic as giving some critics and publications more weight than others based on their quality and overall stature. The two measures answer different questions: a high position here means a high reported critic score, not necessarily the largest review volume.

For example, Metacritic’s Sekiro page showed 77 critic reviews when accessed on October 8, 2026. That is a page-specific count for one game, not evidence that Sekiro had the most reviews among 2019 releases. See Metacritic’s Sekiro page.
How to read the ranking’s scope
- VGC’s year-end list excludes ports. It is a reported top 15, not a complete ranking across every possible release version.
- Metacritic’s current 2019 browse page uses a different scope. It covers all platforms and says games with fewer than seven critic reviews are excluded. Its live contents may differ from the dated 2019 year-end snapshot. View Metacritic’s 2019 games browse page.
- The top five are not all standalone games. Shadowbringers and Iceborne are expansions; check the base-game requirements and edition details before choosing one.
- The list does not establish present-day compatibility, availability, or price. Confirm platform and current store details for the version you intend to play.
