Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja STORM Trilogy is worth considering if you want the first three Storm games in one package, but it is not the complete Storm saga: it stops before Storm 4, and the publisher says not all original DLC is included. Its appeal is the progression from Naruto’s early story to the Fourth Great Ninja War, with the caveat that the first game feels more dated and the Switch version drew performance concerns in a 2018 review.
What is included in the Storm Trilogy?
The collection contains three games: NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 2, and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst. Bandai Namco described the collection as remastered versions with improved graphics for PS4, Xbox One, and PC; the Switch edition followed in 2018. The publisher also described the original Trilogy package as digital-only and cautioned that it does not include all DLC. Bandai Namco’s announcement
The story moves from Naruto’s early days at the Ninja Academy through the Shippuden-era conflict and the beginning of the Fourth Great Ninja War. That is a substantial run of story, but it is not the whole series: Storm 4 is not part of this three-game collection. Bandai Namco’s Switch announcement Nintendo’s Switch listing
How do the three games compare?
Storm 1: the earliest, roughest entry
The first game adapts Naruto’s earlier story and establishes the series’ arena-fighting and adventure structure. In its April 30, 2018 review of the Switch release, Meristation found its combat and adventure mode more dated than those of the sequels. That makes it the least polished-feeling part of the set for players approaching the games in release order. Meristation’s Switch review

Storm 2: a broader adventure
Storm 2 continues into Naruto Shippuden. Meristation described it as improving the adventure mode and adding online fights compared with the first game. The trilogy’s entries are not identical chapters of one uniform system: the second game already represents a step forward in both structure and features, as reported in that review.
Storm 3 Full Burst: the most developed presentation
Storm 3 Full Burst brings more refined mechanics, expanded content, and more participatory cinematic sequences, according to the same 2018 review. Across the collection, that evolution is part of the attraction: you can see the series’ adventure and spectacle develop, though the older first entry can feel like a less sophisticated starting point.

Does it include Storm 4 or all the DLC?
No. The Trilogy contains only the first three games, ending with Storm 3 Full Burst; it does not include Storm 4. Bandai Namco explicitly warned that not all DLC from the original releases is included. Nintendo’s Switch product listing mentions past DLC such as missions, outfits, and episodes, but that does not override the publisher’s broader caveat or establish that every add-on is present. Which edition should you buy?
| Edition | What it contains | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Trilogy | Storm 1, Storm 2, and Storm 3 Full Burst | The three-game collection; publisher-described as digital-only, with some original DLC omitted. Bandai Namco |
| Legacy | The three remastered games, Storm 4: Road to Boruto, an artbook, a SteelBook case, and an anime Blu-ray | A separate, broader physical retail bundle announced for PS4 and Xbox One in the Americas excluding Brazil; current stock and regional availability are not established. If your goal is specifically a physical copy, Legacy is the relevant announced route, not a standalone physical Trilogy edition. Choose it only if the extra game and collector materials suit you; otherwise, compare the digital Trilogy listing on your platform and in your region. Store prices and availability can change.

How does the Switch version run?
Nintendo’s Canadian listing currently identifies the Switch edition as supporting TV, tabletop, and handheld play, and lists support on Switch 2 with behavior consistent with Switch. These are details of that regional listing, observed October 8, 2026, rather than guarantees for every storefront. It lists 17.7 GB of storage, one- or two-player play on one system, and online player support for Storm 2 and Storm 3 separately. Nintendo Canada
For performance, keep the evidence in its time and platform context: Meristation’s 2018 Switch review reported resolution and performance issues on the version it reviewed. That is a historical assessment, not a fresh test of the current build, and it does not establish whether later patches changed the experience. Players prioritizing portability have an officially listed handheld option; those most concerned about technical presentation should treat the old review as a caution rather than a definitive verdict on every current version.

Is Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy worth it?
It is a sensible choice for someone who wants to play the first three Storm games together and follow Naruto’s story through the beginning of the Fourth Great Ninja War. The collection’s strongest case is seeing the series’ adventure structure and cinematic presentation develop across its entries. Its drawbacks are specific: the first game is the most dated according to the cited review, the trilogy omits Storm 4, and not all DLC is included. Switch buyers also have a dated performance concern to weigh, while the physical Legacy bundle is a larger package rather than a physical Trilogy by itself.
There is no current aggregate review score established here to use as a shortcut: PlayStation’s US listing currently displays no ratings or reviews. The recommendation therefore depends more on whether you want these three particular games, and which platform and edition are available to you, than on a single score. PlayStation Store listing
