The Void Within is a physical booster expansion for the Neopets Battledome Trading Card Game. Neopets announced its release for January 28, 2026, with 232 new cards, 8 cards per pack, and 24 packs per booster box. The announcement also named a Grundo Warehouse scratch-off code in each box and several purchase channels.
What is The Void Within?
The Void Within is a booster set for the Neopets Battledome Trading Card Game, not a video game or a standalone digital release. Neopets presented it as a new chapter for the physical card game. The set includes 232 new cards, featuring Hero and Villain cards, Void Rares, and returning Petpets. Neopets’ January 2026 newsletter announced the set, while Upper Deck’s product page highlights the Void Paint Brush, Void Essence counter mechanic, Void Rare Neopets, and new heroes and villains.
When did The Void Within TCG come out?
Neopets announced January 28, 2026 as the release date. A Neopets product post published that day described the set as a new chapter for the game; the announcement is available at Neopets’ January 28 product post. In its February newsletter, Neopets said the booster box was available after launch. That confirms the post-launch status reported at the time, not current stock. Neopets’ February newsletter gives that update.
What comes in a Void Within booster box?
Neopets announced this launch configuration:
| Item | Announced details |
|---|---|
| Cards per booster pack | 8 |
| Packs per booster box | 24 |
| Cards packaged per box | 192, calculated from 8 cards × 24 packs; this does not mean 192 unique cards or guarantee completion of the set |
| Box bonus | One Grundo Warehouse scratch-off code, redeemable on Neopets.com |
The product post also lists the game as for 2 players, ages 6+, with a play time of 20+ minutes. These are product-page descriptors, not a detailed explanation of how to play.

What new cards and mechanics does the set feature?
Neopets’ set highlights include Hero and Villain cards, Void Rares, and returning Petpets. Upper Deck also calls attention to the Void Paint Brush and a Void Essence counter mechanic. Its product information names the mechanic but does not explain its rules in enough detail to describe how it works in play. For rules or deck-building decisions, consult current official rules and the text on the cards rather than inferring mechanics from the product description.
