What kind of game is Rogue Piñatas: VRmageddon?
The publisher describes a “party-apocalyptic world” overrun by piñatas. Runs revolve around fighting enemies, gathering the candy they drop, choosing upgrades, and completing objectives across stages. The pitch is intentionally silly, but the format is familiar to players of survival roguelites: survive escalating encounters and use each run’s rewards to build a stronger setup.
Nerd Ninjas lists six playable characters, 27 piñatas, and six stages with objectives. Characters have distinct starting weapons, while the broader toolset includes weapons, evolutions, and gadgets. Can you play solo or with friends?

Where can you play it, and what hardware is supported?
The game is listed for Meta Quest and Steam. The developer announced a SteamVR launch for July 14, 2025, and named Valve Index, Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S in its support list. That list comes from a dated announcement, so confirm current headset compatibility and PC requirements on the relevant storefront before buying.

Defeated piñatas drop candy, which you spend on upgrade choices. The combination of character weapons, gadgets, evolutions, and stage objectives gives runs their variation, while repeated enemy waves provide the central survival challenge. Road to VR’s October 2024 preview also described character perks and upgrades; its account is useful for the early design, while the publisher’s later announcement supplies the current feature counts.

In a March 2025 review of the Meta Quest version, Digital Chumps praised the comedic premise and co-op potential but said the enemy-wave loop could feel repetitive.
