Nintendo’s Canadian Black Friday offers reported in 2023 included a $449.99 Nintendo Switch OLED bundle with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a separate Super Mario Party Joy-Con bundle, and discounts on selected physical Switch games. The offers had different start dates and are historical—not current deal prices.
What was in Nintendo Canada’s 2023 Black Friday promotion?
MobileSyrup reported the offers on November 6, 2023. The main Switch OLED bundle was scheduled to launch November 19, while the Mario Party bundle and selected game discounts started earlier. Prices below are Canadian dollars as reported at the time; retailer participation and availability applied to the game deals. Read MobileSyrup’s November 6, 2023 report.
Switch OLED with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The $449.99 bundle included a Nintendo Switch OLED system, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (then regularly $79.99) and three months of Nintendo Switch Online Individual (then regularly $9.99), at no additional cost. Its Joy-Con controllers featured the Smash Bros. logo. The reported launch date was November 19, 2023.
Super Mario Party with red and blue Joy-Con
A separate bundle, available starting November 10, 2023, cost $129.99. It paired Super Mario Party—the 2018 game—with red and blue Joy-Con, and MobileSyrup described it as $50 in savings. This was not a bundle of Mario Party Superstars.

Were Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing bundles part of the sale?
MobileSyrup also mentioned ongoing standard Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Switch Lite Animal Crossing: New Horizons bundles. It described those separately from the Black Friday-specific offers, so they should not be confused with the Smash Bros. OLED package or treated as part of the listed game discounts.

No current availability follows from a November 2023 report. Nintendo Canada’s retail offers page lists later offers and bundles, subject to availability and participating-retailer terms; it does not establish that the 2023 Smash Bros. bundle remains available. Nintendo’s 2025 holiday announcement describes a separate, dated set of offers, not a 2026 deal calendar. Check current retailer listings for today’s stock and prices.
