No Nintendo Switch 2 showcase for the week of October 8–14, 2026 is confirmed by the official sources cited here. Nintendo’s latest surfaced Direct recap is for a general presentation on September 9, which covered both Switch 2 and the original Switch. Its announcements are not evidence of what a later showcase will include.
Is there a Nintendo Direct this week?
Nintendo’s official September 9, 2026 Direct recap confirms a past presentation, not an event during October 8–14. Nintendo’s official news and events listing surfaced that earlier announcement, but does not establish that an October showcase has been announced. So there is no confirmed October Direct to preview on the evidence available here.

That distinction matters: a Direct’s previous announcements cannot be carried forward as predictions for a new event. Until Nintendo announces another presentation, any list of games supposedly “expected” at this week’s showcase would be speculation built on an unconfirmed premise.
What did Nintendo announce at the September Direct?
The September presentation covered games and updates for both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch. Among the named announcements in Nintendo’s recap were:

What can we say about upcoming Switch 2 games?
Nintendo’s September recap provides examples of games and updates associated with Switch 2, but it is not a complete release calendar. It does not establish current prices, availability, or whether individual games have physical editions. Check Nintendo’s current game listings for those details before making a purchase decision.

If Nintendo announces another Direct, its announcement will establish the date and format; the presentation or its official recap will establish what was actually shown. Until then, treat claims about an October lineup as unconfirmed rather than as a preview of known games.
