The related Pokémon Day free-pack and special-mission windows have also ended. Here’s what the companies announced and what those dates meant.
When did Triumphant Light come out?
In an announcement dated February 27, 2025, DeNA scheduled the Triumphant Light themed booster packs for February 28, 2025. These were digital packs for Pokémon TCG Pocket, a download-only iOS and Android game—not physical booster packs. DeNA described the game as free to play, with some items available for purchase. The Pokémon Company International described the expansion as featuring more than 70 new cards, including Trainer cards, Pokémon ex and immersive cards. Arceus ex was its headline card. What Link Abilities did
Link Abilities were abilities designed to work alongside Arceus or Arceus ex in play. The Pokémon Company compared the card pattern to cards from the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game: Platinum—Arceus series, while noting that the Pocket ability had a functional effect.

What were the free packs and event dates?
For Pokémon Day, DeNA announced a gift of one Genetic Apex booster pack each for Mewtwo, Pikachu and Charizard. Each pack was guaranteed to contain at least one card of four-diamond rarity or higher. The distribution window ran from February 27, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. through April 30, 2025, at 2:59 p.m. Japan Standard Time (JST).
DeNA also scheduled a separate special-missions event from February 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. through March 27, 2025, at 2:59 p.m. JST. Rewards could include trade tokens, backdrops and booster packs. Both windows are in the past.

When were ranked matches coming?
DeNA said a feature for testing players’ battling skills against one another would be implemented “at the end of March.” The Pokémon Company also described ranked battles as coming in March. These were future plans stated in February 2025, not confirmation of the exact date the feature went live. The announcements do not establish the current ranked rules.

DeNA reported that Pokémon TCG Pocket had surpassed 100 million worldwide downloads as of February 27, 2025. That is the company’s milestone figure at the time, not a current download count.
