Google announced three-month trials of Amazon Luna+ and NVIDIA GeForce NOW’s RTX 3080 tier for new cloud-gaming Chromebooks in October 2022. That was a launch promotion—not a benefit you should assume comes with a Chromebook today. The Google Chromebook Perks page reviewed for this article showed “No perks found,” so current access to either trial is unverified. Check the Perks offer on your own Chromebook and read its terms before counting on it.
What the 2022 Chromebook offer included
Google’s October 2022 announcement said new cloud-gaming Chromebooks came with a three-month trial of Amazon Luna+ and a three-month trial of NVIDIA GeForce NOW’s RTX 3080 tier. Google directed buyers to open Chromebook Perks on their new device for offer details. Those statements describe the promotion at launch; they do not establish that the trials can still be claimed.
The announcement also said the Chromebook gaming experience could access more than 1,500 PC and console games across supported services, and cited nearly 200 games available on Chromebook at no cost. How to check and redeem Chromebook Perks
To find out whether an offer is available to you, open Chromebook Perks on the Chromebook and inspect the offer’s own eligibility and redemption terms. Google’s Perks page showed “No perks found” when reviewed, so it does not verify that the 2022 Luna+ or RTX 3080 offers are currently redeemable. Google Chromebook Perks

- Sign in to the Chromebook with the Google Account you intend to use for redemption.
- Open the Chromebook Perks page on the device and look for the specific offer. If it appears, select “Get perk.”
- Read the offer terms before claiming it, including eligible devices and regions, the service tier, any trial or usage limits, and what happens when the offer ends.
Google says ChromeOS version 86 or later is required to use perks. Redemption does not work in Guest or incognito mode. Eligibility and claim limits vary: an offer may be limited to one redemption per device or per Google Account. A redeemed perk is tied to the Google Account used, and a previous redemption on that device or account can prevent another claim. Google’s Chromebook Perks help page
Later GeForce NOW deals are separate promotions
Google announced other GeForce NOW promotions after the 2022 launch offer. They are not evidence that the original Luna+ and RTX 3080 trials remain available.

What to check before choosing a cloud-gaming Chromebook
Buy a Chromebook for its features and price, not on the assumption that it includes a historical trial. Google’s 2022 announcement named the Acer Chromebook 516 GE, ASUS Chromebook Vibe CX55 Flip, and Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook as examples from the launch lineup. These are historical examples, not current buying recommendations or proof of an active perk.
GeForce NOW’s requirements page lists Chromebook browser support. NVIDIA says an Ultimate membership is required for 1600p resolution and 120 FPS streaming on Chromebook. Its listed supported gamepad families include Xbox and Sony PlayStation controllers; NVIDIA also recommends sufficient network speed and latency below 80 ms to an NVIDIA data center. If a live offer appears, compare the actual terms rather than relying on the old headline. Check the eligible region and account, service tier, supported game libraries or linked stores, any monthly or session limits, streaming capabilities, device and controller compatibility, and whether a paid subscription starts after the trial.
