Palworld’s first raid boss, Bellanoir, arrived in the Steam v0.2.0.6 update on April 4, 2024—not as an upcoming addition. Players summon the powerful, uncapturable boss at a Summoning Altar using a slab; defeating it can yield a Pal Egg. The update also included an especially difficult extreme version.
When did Bellanoir arrive in Palworld?
Pocketpair announced the first raid battle on March 15, 2024, then released Bellanoir in the Steam v0.2.0.6 update on April 4. The announcement and release notes are available from Palworld’s official channel and Pocketpair’s Steam update notes.
At launch, the update was identified as a Steam release. GameSpot reported on April 4, 2024, that Xbox and Microsoft Store players were still waiting for it at that time. That is a dated account, not confirmation of platform availability today; the available sources do not establish current version parity.
How does the Bellanoir raid work?
The update added a Summoning Altar, where players use slabs to call raid bosses. Pocketpair described the summoned bosses as powerful and uncapturable. A Pal Egg can drop after a boss is defeated, so the reward is not capturing Bellanoir itself.

The update also offered an extreme version and characterized it as especially difficult. The cited announcement and contemporaneous coverage do not provide comparative statistics, tested builds, recommended levels, or team compositions, so they do not support a specific strategy recommendation.
Where do you find the Summoning Altar?
The April 2024 announcement discussion includes a player asking where to find the altar, but the cited official notes do not specify its location. They establish that it is the structure used to summon raid bosses with slabs; they do not establish a map location or precise placement instructions.

What else came with the v0.2.0.6 update?
Bellanoir was the headline addition, but the patch also introduced other items and features. These were broader update contents, not all Bellanoir-specific mechanics.
- Training Manuals for granting experience to Pals, plus an Ancient Technical Manual for ancient technology points.
- Recovery Meds, a Homeward Thundercloud, Ability Glasses, stat-boosting fruits, Mercy Hit and a Ring of Mercy.
- A Multiclimate Undershirt, an Electric Egg Incubator, and an Ore Mining Site.
- Building-placement adjustments, character appearance editing, changes to Pal work controls, interface improvements, and balance and bug fixes.
