To start the Hierophant Social Link in Persona 3 Reload, visit Bunkichi and Mitsuko Kitamura at Bookworms in Iwatodai Strip Mall from April 25, retrieve a Persimmon Leaf from the tree at Gekkoukan, then show it to the couple. They are available during the day Tuesday through Sunday. This guide is specific to Reload, whose dialogue and affinity values differ from other versions of Persona 3.
How to unlock the Hierophant Social Link
- On or after April 25, visit Bookworms at Iwatodai Strip Mall and speak with Bunkichi and Mitsuko Kitamura.
- Go to Gekkoukan High School and inspect the persimmon tree to obtain a Persimmon Leaf.
- Return to Bookworms and show the leaf to Bunkichi. This establishes the Hierophant Social Link.
Bunkichi and Mitsuko represent the Hierophant Arcana. Once the link is active, spend time with them at Bookworms to raise its rank.
When Bunkichi and Mitsuko are available
The couple can be visited during the day Tuesday through Sunday; they are unavailable on Monday. Their broad weekly availability makes them easier to schedule around Social Links with narrower visiting windows.
Bring a Persona of the Hierophant Arcana when spending time with them. Matching the Social Link’s Arcana gives an affinity bonus to dialogue choices and can help you reach the next rank sooner.

Optional Koromaru walk affinity
RPG Site notes an optional opportunity to earn three bonding points during a Koromaru walk interaction. Reach rank 5 or rank 9 before August 22 to access the relevant interaction. This is a scheduling optimization, not a requirement for completing the Hierophant link.
Bunkichi’s Tartarus deadline
Prima Games reports that Bunkichi goes missing in Tartarus on September 12. Rescue him before the next Full Moon: if you miss that deadline, you cannot complete the Hierophant Social Link for the rest of that playthrough. After the rescue, the link becomes available again the following day.
