Rainbow Six Siege’s Y9S1.3 update deployed on May 2, 2024. It adjusted six operators, reduced Impact Grenade damage and blast radius, changed the ballistic-shield Guard Break threshold, and included MouseTrap detection updates. These are historical patch notes—not a new 2026 update.
Y9S1.3 operator changes
Ubisoft’s Y9S1.3 Patch Notes list changes for Azami, Iana, Lesion, Nøkk, Oryx, and Sens.
| Operator | Change in Y9S1.3 |
|---|---|
| Azami | Takes increased damage from specified medium-caliber SMGs and ARs, and high-caliber ARs and LMGs. Her damage against high-caliber handguns and revolvers increased. |
| Iana | Gains Impact EMP Grenades and loses Stun Grenades. |
| Lesion | GU Mine refill time increases from 20 to 25 seconds; initial GU Mine damage falls from 5 to 3 HP. Observation Blocker is added to his secondary gadgets, and Impact Grenades are removed. |
| Nøkk | HEL Presence Reduction duration and cooldown both increase from 20 to 30 seconds. |
| Oryx | Remah Dash can destroy Deployable Shields and Talon Shields. |
| Sens | R.O.U. Projectors increase from three to four. |
Impact Grenades and ballistic shields
Impact Grenades deal 40 HP damage instead of 60, and their blast radius falls from 3 meters to 2 meters. The damage threshold for an explosion to trigger a ballistic shield’s Guard Break also drops, from 50 HP to 30 HP. Ubisoft’s Y9S1.3 Designer’s Notes explain that Impact Grenades had become useful across site setup, rotations, utility clearing, wall denial, and eliminations. Ubisoft said the damage and radius reductions were intended to reward more precise use and reduce their killing and wall-denial potential. The lower Guard Break threshold was adjusted in response to the grenade damage change.
MouseTrap and anti-cheat context
In its May 2024 Anti-Cheat Status Update, Ubisoft said Y9S1.3 temporarily improved the situation with a crash exploit while longer-term solutions were being developed. Ubisoft also said the update expanded the kinds of devices MouseTrap could recognize, improved detection of identifiable devices, and aimed to reduce false positives that incorrectly flagged controller players. Those statements describe Ubisoft’s goals and status at the time; they are not a guarantee about current anti-cheat performance.
