Sloclap announced the test on May 22, 2025; it is not a newly scheduled beta. The test was for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with access rules that differed by platform.
When was the REMATCH final beta?
Sloclap’s May 22, 2025 announcement set the beta window for May 28 at 12 PM GMT through May 31 at 12 PM GMT. Its official announcement and the Steam developer announcement both described it as the last chance to play before the full release.
The published end time was May 31 at 12 PM GMT. Sloclap later called the test a four-day beta in its June 5 recap; that description does not change the announced end timestamp.
How could players access the beta?
Access depended on platform. Steam and PS5 players could request a key through the REMATCH website, and Sloclap said keys would be emailed before the test. Keys issued for the previous beta remained valid. Sloclap also said direct access for Steam and PS5 might progressively open from May 29, if the servers held up.

For Xbox Insiders on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, Xbox Wire’s instructions listed the same window as May 28 at 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET / 12 p.m. UTC through May 31 at those times. This was a specific Insider access route, alongside Sloclap’s more restricted Xbox key distribution.
What happened during the beta?
In its June 5, 2025 recap, Sloclap reported “Over 1.8 million players” during the beta. That is the developer’s figure, not an independently audited count. The studio thanked players for feedback and bug reports.

Sloclap’s recap also discussed server and client crashes, desynchronization and other network issues, and long matchmaking waits, particularly for players with high MMR. The studio said it addressed some problems during the test and continued working on stability, netcode, matchmaking, controls, and other gameplay feedback.
