Is Fortnite coming back to iPhone?
In the United States, Fortnite is already listed on the App Store. Apple’s U.S. listing names Epic Games Inc. as the developer, describes the game as free with in-app purchases, and includes an October 2026 version-history entry: Fortnite on the U.S. App Store.

That does not mean Fortnite is available through Apple’s store everywhere. Epic’s guidance says iPhone and iPad users can download the game from the App Store except in Australia. Availability and installation options depend on where you are: Epic’s mobile availability page.
Ways to play Fortnite on iPhone or iPad
Epic describes several iOS access routes, but they differ in geographic coverage, device eligibility, and whether you install the game or stream it. Check Epic’s current regional instructions before attempting installation: Epic Games Support: playing Fortnite on iOS.

Does an App Store listing confirm a newly submitted game build?
No. A storefront listing establishes that a version is available in that storefront; it does not reveal the review state of a separate submission. Apple tracks submission states such as “Waiting for Review,” “In Review,” and “Rejected” separately from an app’s availability by country or region: Apple’s App Store Connect status definitions.
The available official information does not establish whether a specific new Fortnite build was submitted, when it was submitted, or whether Apple has approved it. Epic’s public support guidance and the U.S. listing are not confirmation of that submission-level event. Apple says developers can check a submission’s status in App Store Connect; it also provides a process to request expedited review in certain time-sensitive circumstances: Apple’s App Review information.

What to check before downloading
- Confirm your country or region: an App Store route or alternative store available in one territory may not be available in another.
- Use Epic’s current iOS instructions to identify the supported route for your location and device.
- If you choose cloud streaming, check that the service is supported in your region and that your internet connection is stable.
- Do not treat Fortnite’s operational game-service status as evidence that a new iOS submission has passed App Review. Epic’s status page reports service operation, not Apple review progress: Epic Games Public Status.
