To complete the four main Sacred Archives time puzzles in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, record one useful action per round and let Sargon’s clone replay it while you perform the next step. Solve all four rooms and collect their tablets to earn Clairvoyance, which advances the Path to the Sands Prison quest. The room-by-room sequence below follows GameSpot’s walkthrough.
How the Sacred Archives time puzzles work
The main puzzle chamber is in the western portion of the Sacred Archives. Follow the corridors west, south, and east to reach its lower section. Each room is a timed sequence: Sargon’s clone repeats the movements and actions recorded in earlier rounds while you control Sargon and add the next action. Use those replays to operate levers, stand on plates, or hold a Shadow position long enough to open the route to a cell. Collect the tablet in each completed room.

Plan each round around the action that needs to be replayed. When the timer ends, the clone starts that sequence; avoid moving away from a lever or plate before the round ends if the puzzle requires Sargon to hold it.
Bottom-left room: operate both levers
- In the first round, jump and pull either the left or right wall lever. Stay by the lever until the timer expires.
- In the second round, jump to the other wall lever and pull it. Stay there until the round ends.
- With both lever actions replaying, go through the opened route and collect the tablet from the cell.
Top-left room: use Shadow of the Simurgh to reach the plate
- In the first round, move to the upper-left corner and use Shadow of the Simurgh to leave a return marker.
- In the second round, activate Shadow to return to that position. Continue upward and stand on the plate.
- Let the recorded actions open the cell, then collect its tablet.
Bottom-right room: switch from the lower lever to the plate
- In the first round, pull the lower-right lever. When roughly five seconds remain, jump back down and step on the floor plate.
- In the second round, wall-jump to the upper-left lever and hold it through the end of the round.
- In the final round, use the opened route to wall-jump to the cell and take the tablet.
The timing matters: the first round needs to record both the lever and the plate, and the second needs to hold the upper-left lever long enough for the replay to work.

Top-right room: combine the plate, lever, and Shadow
- Quickly move down, air-dash to the right side of the platform that emerges, and place a Shadow of the Simurgh marker. Then stand on the floor plate through the end of the round.
- In the second round, move to the lower chamber and wait for the platform to emerge. Climb to the top of that section and pull the lever to create another wall.
- In the final round, wait for the platform to appear, reactivate Shadow to return to the marked ledge, then wall-jump to the top and reach the cell.
What completing the rooms unlocks
Collecting the tablets through this four-room sequence rewards Clairvoyance. The ability is needed to continue the Path to the Sands Prison quest.
