The Sapphire NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Crimson Desert Edition is a game-themed version of Sapphire’s NITRO+ RX 9070 XT OC—not a different GPU architecture or performance class. Its distinguishing features are Crimson Desert artwork, themed badges and branding, customizable lighting, and a hidden power-cable design. Its core published specifications match the sort of details buyers should check for any large, high-power RX 9070 XT: 16 GB of memory, a 330 W typical board power rating, a 3.2-slot body, and an 850 W minimum PSU recommendation from Sapphire.
What is the Crimson Desert Edition?
Sapphire identifies the card as the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Crimson Desert Edition, SKU 11348-10-20G. It uses AMD RDNA 4 and has the same 4096 stream processors and 64 compute units listed for this model as a Radeon RX 9070 XT. Sapphire announced selected-retailer availability starting in February 2026; that announcement does not establish current stock or pricing.
The “OC” in the product name identifies Sapphire’s overclocked model designation. Sapphire lists a boost clock of up to 3060 MHz and a game clock of up to 2520 MHz, but those figures are not guaranteed operating speeds. The company defines boost clock as the maximum frequency achievable during a bursty workload and says achievable frequency and sustainability vary with thermal conditions, applications, and workload. The specifications do not establish that this themed version is faster than the standard NITRO+ RX 9070 XT OC. Sapphire’s product specifications provide the model’s stated details.
What makes the design different?
The special-edition treatment is largely physical and cosmetic. Sapphire describes Crimson Desert artwork on the magnetic Quick Connect MagniPlate backplate, themed fan badges and NITRO+ emblems, and customizable ARGB lighting. The card also uses Sapphire’s STEALTH hidden power cable design. These touches distinguish its appearance; they do not, by themselves, indicate a different GPU or establish a performance advantage.

Sapphire’s February 10, 2026 launch announcement used the slogan “RECLAIM POWER. REACH BEYOND.” That is promotional language, not a measured performance result. The announcement is available from Sapphire’s launch page.
Specifications that matter for a gaming PC
| Specification | Sapphire’s published figure | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | 16 GB GDDR6, 256-bit bus, 20 Gbps effective memory speed | These are memory-capacity and interface specifications, not a guarantee of frame rates in a particular game. |
| GPU resources | 4096 stream processors; 64 compute units; 64 ray accelerators; 128 AI accelerators | Published hardware counts describe the GPU configuration; they do not replace independent benchmarks. |
| Clocks | Up to 3060 MHz boost; up to 2520 MHz game clock | “Up to” figures are conditional. Sapphire says actual clock behavior varies by workload and conditions. |
| Board power and PSU | 330 W typical board power; minimum 850 W PSU | Check the whole system’s power needs and available PSU connectors, not just the GPU’s board-power figure. |
| Dimensions and thickness | 330.8 × 128.5 × 65.68 mm; 3.2 slots | Verify case GPU length, expansion-slot clearance, and room around the card for airflow and cables. |
| External power | One 12V-2×6 connector; included adapter converts to three 8-pin PCIe connectors | Confirm that the PSU and cable arrangement suit the card. Follow the PSU and graphics-card manufacturers’ cable instructions. |
| Display outputs | Two HDMI 2.1b and two DisplayPort 2.1a; up to four displays; each interface listed up to 7680 × 4320 | These are output-interface specifications, not evidence of gaming performance at those resolutions. |
| Interface and operating systems | PCI Express 5.0 x16; UEFI; Linux, Windows 10 64-bit, and Windows 11 64-bit listed | Check the rest of the PC and current software support before installation. |
Sapphire also lists 64 MB of Infinity Cache and features including FSR 4 with AI upscaling, AMD HYPR-RX with AFMF 2, Radeon Anti-Lag 2, DirectX 12 Ultimate, and FreeSync. Feature support is not a substitute for checking compatibility and availability in the specific game, driver, display, or system you plan to use.

- Axial-tech fans now feature a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- Phase-change GPU thermal pad helps ensure optimal heat transfer, lowering GPU temperatures for enhanced performance and reliability
- 2.5-slot design allows for greater build compatibility while maintaining cooling performance
- Dual-ball fan bearings last up to twice as long as standard conventional sleeve bearings designs
- 0dB technology lets you enjoy light gaming in relative silence
Will it fit, and what else comes in the box?
At 330.8 mm long and 3.2 slots thick, this is a substantial graphics card. Compare the published dimensions with your case’s usable GPU clearance and available expansion slots; allow for any space needed by the power connection and airflow. Sapphire recommends a minimum 850 W power supply and specifies a 12V-2×6 connector. The included adapter is 12V-2×6 to three 8-pin PCI Express connectors, so check your PSU’s cables and follow its manufacturer’s guidance for powering the card.
Sapphire lists a magnetic Crimson Desert Edition backplate, an L-shaped support bracket, and a 3-pin 5 V ARGB cable among the included accessories. The support bracket is relevant for a large card, while the ARGB lead is for compatible lighting connections. Check your motherboard or controller’s connector type before connecting lighting hardware.

Does it perform differently from the standard NITRO+ RX 9070 XT OC?
Sapphire lists the standard NITRO+ RX 9070 XT OC separately, but the available specifications do not provide a direct benchmark comparison between that card and the Crimson Desert Edition. The themed artwork, fan badges, branding, lighting, and hidden-cable design establish a cosmetic and product-design distinction; they do not show that the special edition runs games faster, cooler, or more quietly.
No independently published benchmark figures are established here for this exact SKU. Without a review that tests the card under a disclosed method, frame rates, temperatures, noise, and any performance difference versus the standard model remain unverified.

Is the Crimson Desert game bundle still available?
Sapphire’s product page states an April 25, 2026 deadline for the Crimson Desert game bundle. That date has passed, so the offer should not be treated as current. Bundle eligibility, regional availability, and present retailer stock or price are not established by Sapphire’s general product and launch pages; confirm any promotion directly with the retailer before buying.
