Texas-class hostiles are found in systems next to Federation space. Defeating them earns loot for the Monaveen refinery, but attacking one directly lowers your peace shield; letting a revenge hostile target your ship is the slower shield-safe alternative. Their locations, levels, and exact loot can change, so check the current Galaxy map and hostile details in game.
Where do you find Texas-class hostiles in STFC?
Scopely’s Update 58 places Texas-class systems next to Federation space and ties access to unlocking the Monaveen. For specific system names and warp values, STFC Club’s Texas-class database lists locations including Nonsuch, Maelruan, Tunicci, Abriluni, Hornebolte, Brawowe, Stetson, Quiparas, Elt-97, Mazai, Biscotti, Corvinus, Regiocomo, and Medici.
That system list and its warp values are third-party reference data, not an official Scopely directory, and may lag behind game changes. Confirm the route and hostile level on your current Galaxy map. Scopely’s general hostile navigation guidance says hostiles appear with red labels on system maps and show their level; generally, hostile levels track system levels and may be found in systems one level above or below the hostile’s level.
What do Texas-class hostiles drop?
Their loot feeds the Monaveen refinery. Scopely says Texas-class hostile loot can be exchanged there for Queen’s Favors, Monaveen-related items, or Shipyard Directives. Those directives support challenges against Automated Shipyard solo armadas; defeating those armadas yields Shipyard Credits, which can also be refined for rewards, as described in Update 58.

For a sense of the listed quantities, STFC Club’s database reports that a level-60 Texas-class hostile drops 50,744–58,356 Neural Net Chips and has a listed base XP of 11,904. It also lists level-60 power as 3,366,260,343. These are database figures, not official Scopely statistics or independently verified current values; use the in-game hostile details and combat results for the version you are playing.
Do Texas-class hostiles drop your peace shield?
A direct attack does. Scopely’s Update 58 says attacking a Texas-class hostile directly forces you to lower your peace shield and triggers a notification similar to one shown when engaging in PvP. The shield consequence described here is tied to your attack; it should not be read as protection for a ship already outside your station.

Direct attack
Choose this when you want to engage the hostile yourself and accept the peace-shield exposure. The direct-attack warning appears before the action.
Revenge hostile
Texas-class systems spawn revenge hostiles. If you let a revenge hostile target your ship rather than attacking a Texas-class hostile directly, your peace shield does not drop. Scopely describes this as the slower approach. The two options and their shield trade-off are documented in Update 58.

What ship or equipment helps against Texas-class hostiles?
Scopely’s November 6, 2024 Chaos Tech article describes the Rare Electromagnetic Lute as designed with the Monaveen in mind. Its published effects include increased Isolytic Cascade against non-Armada hostiles, 400% more loot from destroyed Texas-Class hostiles, and +10,000 Apex Barrier when fighting them. These are the listed item effects and design intent, not a guarantee of a particular fight outcome.
The documented progression loop is to use the Monaveen refinery for Texas-class loot and, if available, the Lute’s stated bonus. No single best crew or ship setup is established for every roster and hostile level. Check your ship and crew abilities, the Lute’s current in-game description, and combat logs when choosing a setup for your account.

Can you fight Texas-class enemies in Wave Defense?
Yes. Texas Class Invaders are among the enemies listed for Wave Defense. In Scopely’s Update 61 description, up to five Commanders can cooperate regardless of Alliance; each brings two ships, cannot switch ships or repair between waves, and must defeat enemies before they reach the defended structure over ten rounds. Later, Update 68 identified Texas-Class encounters among G4-targeted Wave Defense content. Confirm current entry requirements and encounter availability in game, since activity access and rotations can change.

Event availability is time-limited. As one dated example, Scopely’s March 2026 interim schedule included a Texas Class Hunt for Ops 20–50: destroying hostiles scored points, with a bonus for Texas-Class hostiles. The schedule itself warned that events may change, so it does not establish that the event is currently running.
