In Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC), Temporal Disruptors are an in-game currency used to buy Temporal Artifact shards. You can claim them through the Ex-Borg Faction Store and earn more through Silent Nebula hostiles and their reward chests. Whether to spend them now or save them depends on your artifact goals and any active event.
What are Temporal Disruptors used for?
Exchange Temporal Disruptors in the store’s Artifact section for shards for the Temporal Artifact of your choice. Collect enough shards to unlock or upgrade an artifact. Scopely’s Update 64 patch notes and Help Center describe this as the resource’s core use.
How do I get Temporal Disruptors?
Claim the daily bundle
Scopely describes a daily bundle of Temporal Disruptors and Silent Nebula Tokens in the Ex-Borg Faction Store. The system was introduced for players at Operations level 38 and above in Update 64. The live bundle quantity and availability can vary by account or current game state, so check the store in-game.
Earn them through Silent Nebula hostiles
- Claim Silent Nebula Tokens from the Ex-Borg Faction Store.
- Use the tokens to travel to a Silent Nebula system and defeat Silent Enemy hostiles.
- Exchange the Temporal Disruptor Parts they drop for reward chests. The chests can contain Temporal Disruptors, Ship Parts, and Orbit Medallions.
Update 64 listed these hostile systems and levels: Aethera Nova (41), Orinthus Prime (46), Valtara Minor (51), Lyrae Nebula (55), Sylphira Delta (57), Aquinelan Star (61), Korolios Void (63), and Zephyrion Axis (65). Its loot bands were levels 40–45 G4 uncommon, 46–50 G4 rare, 51–54 G5 uncommon, 55–60 G5 rare, 61–62 G6 uncommon, and 63+ G6 rare. These are the patch notes’ Update 64 details, not a guarantee that current loot balance is unchanged.

The same notes suggested Pike / Moreau / Tucker to weaken hostile critical damage; Ent-E Picard / Ent-E Data / Tucker for offense and damage mitigation; and Severus / Decius / Charvanek as a five-round option when fully synergized, particularly against battleships. Scopely advised using a lower-level enemy if your crew cannot survive five rounds. These are publisher suggestions, not independently tested crew recommendations.
Which Temporal Artifact shards should I choose?
Scopely’s Help Center lists 15 Temporal Artifacts, with eligibility and effects varying by artifact. Most listed artifacts are available from Operations level 38; two are listed at level 45 and two at level 50. Examples from the Help Center include:
Rank #2
- The Command Division supplement provides Gamemasters and Players with a wealth of new material for use in Star Trek Adventures for characters in the command division.
- Expanded 2d20 Social Conflict rules, enhancing social encounters and galactic diplomacy.
- An expanded list of Talents and Focuses for command and conn characters.
- New rules on running Admiralty-level campaigns that let you command entire fleets, as well as information on commanding starbases.
- The Star Trek Adventures supplementary rulebooks and sourcebooks require the Star Trek Adventures core rulebook in order to play.
- Combat: critical-chance Orbs for ship-type matchups, Jaheelah for Wave Defense damage, and Chroniton Sample for Borg Cube Cutting Beam damage.
- Progression and efficiency: The Great Eye of Ara for artifact-fragment cost efficiency, La’an’s 21st Century Watch for construction speed, Temporal Observatory for warp speed, and Stone of Memory for a Syndicate XP claim.
- Higher-level options: Book of the Kosst Amojan for hull health and Boreth Time Crystal for hostile damage are listed at level 45; Iconian Gate and Portal from Krulmuth-B are listed at level 50.
These are examples, not a universal ranking. Compare the artifact’s Operations-level requirement, the activity you want to improve, and the effect’s conditions. Some combat effects do not apply to Armadas, Assaults, or station defense; check the in-game description and current shard cost before choosing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should I spend or save Temporal Disruptors for events?
Event scoring can change the value of spending at a particular time, but the documented examples below do not establish what is active in your game right now.
Rank #3
- The single-player campaign is now called Metaverse, which comes from the term metagame, meaning game within a game.
- Each campaign has about 60 individual missions that feature greater context, flexibility, and impact on the fate of your empire.
- Metaverse is available for online play. There are two new races in addition to the original six: the savage Mirak Star League and the Interstellar Concordium, which aims to enforce peace at any cost.
- New ships are available, including escort vessels, patrol craft, and fighters, bringing the total variants to more than 1,000.
- A new fleet interface makes for easy target monitoring and allows fleets to operate as a single unit or for individual ships to move autonomously.
- Artifact Hunt: Scopely’s December 2024 event schedule described an Artifact Hunt milestone event that awarded points for spending Standard, Premium, Isolytic Artifact Tokens, and Temporal Disruptors. It noted availability from Operations level 26. Treat this as a documented event mechanic, not confirmation of current availability.
- Alliance Tournaments: A Scopely tournament update, updated September 28, 2026, listed an “Acquire 15,000 Temporal Disruptors (Ops 30+)” task option and said the next run would be October 9. That is one dated task example, not a standing requirement.
- Prime Temporal Disruption: Scopely’s Update 66 patch notes say the prime increases the daily Temporal Disruptors claim by +300%. The notes establish that stated effect in Update 66; they do not establish current availability, price, eligibility, or whether it is worthwhile for your account.
Before spending for a milestone or holding currency for a task, check the live event panel for scoring and eligibility, then compare that timing with the artifact you actually want to unlock or upgrade. Your current stock, shop inventory, and event state are account-specific.
