Launched on November 18, 2024, the ads turn MONOPOLY GO!’s mix of teamwork, rivalry and stolen fortunes into a comic adventure in the game’s fictional GOville.
Who appears in the “Friendship Pays” ads?
- Jason Momoa plays “Momoney.”
- Keke Palmer plays “Keke GoGo.”
- Chris Pratt plays “Extra Chrispy.”
- Will Ferrell voices Mr. Monopoly, the character who guides the group.
Scopely’s launch announcement describes Momoa, Palmer and Pratt as friends swept into GOville, a dream-like setting that blends real life with the MONOPOLY GO! universe. Scopely’s announcement introduced the campaign on November 18, 2024.
What happens in the campaign?
The spots play up friendship as a shifting relationship rather than a purely sentimental one. The characters adventure together, but they also compete, knock down landmarks and steal in-game money. Fortunes and setbacks are part of the joke, with Ferrell’s Mr. Monopoly guiding the group through GOville.
Jamie Berger, Scopely’s SVP of Marketing for MONOPOLY GO!, described that dynamic as “where friends turn into rivals and then friends again, with just a roll of the dice.” Scopely’s behind-the-scenes post gives the campaign’s creative framing. Palmer likewise described her own interest in the playful competition, saying: “I love playing games with my siblings and friends, and let me tell you honey, when I play games, I play to win.”

How many ads were announced, and where did they run?
Scopely said the rollout would include more than 20 original videos across TV, streaming, social and digital, including two 45-second television spots. The company credited creative agency Omelet as a campaign partner and Henry Scholfield as director of the TV ads. These are Scopely’s announced campaign details; they do not independently establish the total reach or performance of the advertising.
Is “Friendship Pays” Scopely’s latest MONOPOLY GO! ad campaign?
The available official announcements establish that “Friendship Pays” launched in November 2024, but do not establish it as the newest MONOPOLY GO! advertising campaign as of October 8, 2026. Scopely has announced later game activity, including a September 2026 “Monster Mash” season tied to Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters and Sony Pictures’ Ghostbusters. Those later collaborations show that the game continued to receive new promotions; they do not, by themselves, show that a newer celebrity-led ad campaign replaced “Friendship Pays.”
