Yes. The official SMITE 2 FAQ describes the game as being in Open Beta and says anyone can download and play it for free. The official SMITE 2 site also promotes the game as free to play. That confirms free access to the game, not that all optional content is free.
Which five Gods were added?
The official materials available for this article do not establish the names of the five Gods in the headline or identify the specific announcement it refers to. Later patch notes document individual additions, but they are not evidence of that five-God roster. For example, Open Beta 27, dated January 27, 2026, introduced Chiron, while Open Beta 29, dated February 23, 2026, introduced Morgan Le Fay. Neither should be substituted for the unverified five.
The FAQ lists 45 Gods in SMITE 2 and names Hecate, Mordred, and Aladdin as Gods new to SMITE 2 in its description of the Open Beta launch roster. Those details describe the FAQ’s roster context, not the five additions in the headline.

What can you play, and where?
The official FAQ lists Normal and Ranked Conquest, Arena, Assault, Joust, and Duel. It describes SMITE 2 as a third-person action MOBA and an Unreal Engine 5-powered sequel. Its FAQ says the original SMITE used Unreal Engine 3, which was not directly compatible with Unreal Engine 5, so SMITE 2 was rebuilt.

How God unlocks work
Free-to-play access and God ownership are separate. The FAQ says players receive a God Token at each new account level through level 50. A token can unlock any God except the God introduced in the most recent update. It also describes Founder’s Edition access as unlocking all Gods; the Founder’s Edition page lists full game access and all Gods among its inclusions. Check the current in-game terms and edition details before making a purchase, since benefits can change.

An official post in 2025 described a Game Pass bundle with God unlocks and cosmetics for active PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate members.
