The claim that Shaquille O’Neal is joining Fortnite with two new skins “this week” refers to the collaboration Epic announced in October 2024—not a new release confirmed for the week of October 8, 2026. Epic said the two outfits would debut on October 4, 2024. The current sources available here do not establish a new Shaq outfit launch this week.
What the original leak claimed—and what Epic confirmed
A ComicBook.com report published on October 3, 2024, framed the Shaq news as a leak and said two skins were expected. Epic Games France then announced the collaboration the same day, confirming two outfits and an October 4 debut. Epic’s announcement is the stronger source for the final, confirmed details.
ComicBook.com’s October 3, 2024 report covered the leak. Epic Games France’s announcement confirmed the collaboration and its outfits.
