Yes: Bandai Namco’s Japanese FAQ says Tales of Berseria Remastered uses some expressions from the original overseas version, so it differs in some specifications from the original Japanese game. The FAQ does not identify the affected scenes. It also says no elements were deleted, which does not mean that nothing was changed.
What Bandai Namco confirms—and what it does not
The Japanese FAQ says: “In some parts of this product, expressions from the original overseas version of Tales of Berseria are used, and some specifications differ from the original Japanese version.” This is a working translation of the Japanese wording, not an official English localization. Bandai Namco’s Japanese FAQ does not name the affected scenes or explain why those expressions were used.

The FAQ’s answer to whether anything was deleted is “None.” That answers a question about deletions; it does not say the remaster is identical to the original Japanese release. The publisher’s acknowledgment of differences is the basis for the “overseas censorship” framing, but the FAQ does not detail particular edits or characterize them as censorship.
Which versions and release dates are involved?
The comparison at issue is the Japanese remaster against the original Japanese game. The overseas release is the content reference named in Bandai Namco’s FAQ. The publisher’s Japanese product page lists the console release in Japan for February 26, 2026, and the Steam release for February 27, 2026. Bandai Namco America announced a February 27, 2026 worldwide launch.

The official FAQ does not provide enough detail to compare individual scenes between the Japanese remaster and the original Japanese release. Players looking for a scene-by-scene account should not treat speculation about a particular moment or the reason for the decision as confirmed by the publisher.
