If your Rogue: Genesia talents disappeared after an update, player reports point to a bug discussed alongside Hotfix 1.1.0i. The developer said a fix had been posted, but the discussion does not identify the fixed build or confirm whether affected profiles recover automatically. This article covers that specific incident; the title alone does not establish that other games had the same problem.

What disappeared in Rogue: Genesia?

In the Steam Community discussion for “Hotfix 1.1.0i,” posted March 17, 2026, players reported that unlocked passive skills, weapon talents, or active and passive talents were no longer appearing after the update. These are individual reports, not an official count or evidence that every player—or even a known share of players—was affected. The thread does not independently establish that saves were corrupted. Read the Hotfix 1.1.0i discussion on Steam.

What did the developer say?

Developer Plexus replied on March 18, 2026, that a fix had been posted. Plexus said the bug occurred on the public branch but had not appeared during development or playtesting. The comment explains why the issue was missed, but does not give the fix’s build number or say whether applying it restores talents on profiles already affected.

“For the curious, the reason I didn’t catch the bug before releasing in public branch,
is that this bug only happen on the public branch, and simply did not happen during development/play testing”

Word Forge Games: SAS Rogue Regiment - Core Game, Strategy Board Game, WWII Stealth Action Game, Military Theme, Ages 14+, 1-4 Players, 60 Min
  • SAS soldiers wage a guerrilla war deep behind enemy lines in this stealthy WW2 action game for 1-4 players.
  • STRIKE FROM THE SHADOWS: Take down enemy patrols and sentries with the vast array of tools at your disposal, from rifles, explosives and grenades to vehicles, traps and your trusty fighting knife.
  • LEAVE NO TRACE: Move quickly and quietly to complete your objectives. Kill silently and hide the bodies to avoid detection.
  • Supports solo or cooperative play.

What should you do if your talents are missing?

  1. Check the current official patch notes or announcements. Confirm which build contains the fix before assuming your game is updated; the March 18 comment does not identify a version number.
  2. Load your profile after updating and check the relevant talent menus. The available developer comment does not promise that an update will restore unlocks on an affected profile.
  3. If talents remain missing, use the game’s official support or community channels. Include your game version and a clear description of which unlocks disappeared. The discussion does not provide a verified save-recovery procedure, so avoid treating an unverified workaround as an official fix.

Is this a widespread issue or a confirmed save-loss bug?

The thread shows that multiple players reported missing unlocks, but it supplies no reliable measure of prevalence. It also does not confirm permanent loss, save corruption, or successful recovery for affected players. Rogue: Genesia’s Steam page describes the game as an action roguelite and lists content such as “300+ passive upgrades,” “50+ weapons,” and “80+ Powerful Artifacts”; those store-page figures describe the game, not the number of people affected by this update incident. See Rogue: Genesia on Steam.

Is there a physical item that restores the talents?

No physical recovery product is established by the available information. Steam lists Rogue: Genesia as a PC game and includes a controller-support tag, but a controller is an optional input device, not a remedy for missing in-game unlocks. The relevant response is to confirm the official game update and seek support if the talents remain absent.
