A leaked Insomniac Games roadmap was reported after the studio’s December 2023 data breach, but its alleged future release dates were not verified and should not be treated as a current schedule. The clearest later update is official: Marvel’s Wolverine launched for PS5 on September 15, 2026, and PlayStation now lists it as available.
What was in the leaked Insomniac timeline?
In December 2023, the Rhysida group published data it said it had stolen from Insomniac Games. Axios reported that the trove contained more than 1.3 million files, totaling 1.67 terabytes, and included internal material such as game roadmaps and information about Marvel’s Wolverine.
That reporting did not establish a verified, current list of future game launches. Axios cautioned that the documents it reviewed were unverified and could be outdated or out of context. Accordingly, alleged projects and dates attributed to the leaked roadmap are leak claims, not confirmed release plans. The available reporting does not provide a reliable basis for presenting a definitive slate or precise dates for the other alleged entries.
What Insomniac confirmed about the breach
On December 22, 2023, Insomniac acknowledged that stolen data included personal information and early development details about Marvel’s Wolverine. The studio said the game would continue, while making clear that it was still in early production and that development plans can change:

“Marvel’s Wolverine continues as planned. The game is in early production and will no doubt greatly evolve throughout the development, as do all our plans.”
This was a statement about Wolverine’s status at that time. It was not confirmation of the dates or full project schedule described in leaked materials.

Wolverine’s official release update
PlayStation later announced an official PS5 release date of September 15, 2026. As of October 8, 2026, PlayStation’s game page lists Marvel’s Wolverine as available. That official release information supersedes any Wolverine date attributed to the 2023 leak.

The available reporting does not verify the broader roadmap or establish that its other dates remain current. A leaked schedule can reflect tentative internal planning, and the report itself warned that the reviewed documents could be outdated or out of context. Without later official announcements, those alleged dates should not be presented as confirmed launches.
