The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is a free-to-play open-world action RPG available on PS5, Steam for PC, and mobile. It supports solo play and online co-op for up to five players, and Netmarble says one account can be used across console, PC and mobile. Store listings disclose in-app purchases; Steam also flags chance-based purchases. Those facts make it possible to assess what the game offers, but they do not establish how it plays or whether spending is necessary.
What is The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin?
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is an open-world action RPG set in Britannia. Its original story follows Prince Tristan as he explores the world and tries to restore order after a disturbance involving time and space. Netmarble describes a roster of heroes, team-building, exploration, hidden dungeons, treasure, fishing and cooking; Google Play also highlights weapon-and-hero combinations and tag battles. Steam’s game listing and the Google Play listing provide those feature descriptions.
Netmarble presents it as an original story in the franchise, not a game that requires prior manga reading. The publisher said in its March 23, 2026 launch announcement that the manga had sold more than 55 million copies globally; that figure describes the franchise, not sales of the game. Netmarble’s announcement gives the launch context.
When did it release, and what platforms is it on?
The game launched on PS5 and Steam on March 16, 2026, then expanded to iOS and Android on March 23, according to Netmarble. The Google Play listing, updated September 28, 2026, also lists Android and Windows availability. Store access and mobile availability can vary by region, so check the relevant platform storefront where you live.

Can you play solo or with friends?
Yes. Steam lists single-player and online co-op. Netmarble says a co-op party can hold up to five players, including the host. The published feature information does not specify matchmaking rules or whether every activity supports a full party, so check in-game activity details rather than assuming all content is cooperative.
Does The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin have cross-play?
Steam labels cross-platform multiplayer as a feature, and Netmarble says players can switch among console, PC and mobile with one account. Together, those disclosures point to cross-platform play and account use, but they are not a complete guide to setup or save transfer. Linking, transfer eligibility, and synchronization details may depend on platform and region; consult current support instructions before changing platforms or unlinking an account.

What is different about the PS5 version?
Netmarble’s project manager, Doyeon Kim, says the PS5 version uses DualSense haptic feedback, with distinct vibration patterns for actions such as switching characters, combination jump attacks and ultimate abilities. This makes a DualSense controller a relevant optional accessory for PS5 play; it is not a requirement for the game on other platforms. The feature description comes from PlayStation Blog, not independent testing.

No. The available evidence supports a factual overview of the game’s release, advertised features, platform listings and purchase disclosures, but not first-hand judgments about combat feel, story execution, balance, technical stability or overall value.
