For the week beginning October 5, 2026, Top Hat Gudetama is in Spooky Swamp, beneath a tree west of the Ghost Ride. Photograph it to earn that week’s Decorative Gudetama crafting plan. Its location changes each week, so this spot is not permanent.
Where is Top Hat Gudetama this week?
The weekly schedule places Top Hat Gudetama under a tree west of the Ghost Ride in Spooky Swamp for the week beginning Monday, October 5, 2026. PCGamesN’s schedule lists a different spot for the following week: north of the Waterfall Falls challenge course, also in Spooky Swamp, beginning October 12. Check the schedule for the current week before setting out, since the collectible moves on the weekly cycle.
How to find and photograph it
- Check the weekly location schedule and confirm its date range.
- Travel to Spooky Swamp and go to the tree west of the Ghost Ride for the week beginning October 5, 2026.
- Use your in-game camera to photograph Top Hat Gudetama. The photo completes the objective and awards that week’s Decorative Gudetama crafting plan.
The indexed game-wiki entry says the location is shared by all players, so you do not need to search for a separate personal spawn. The same entry recommends enabling Show Photographed Collectibles in Gameplay Settings and taking the photo again if it does not register. The wiki entry could not be opened when checked, so treat that troubleshooting detail as a reported workaround and check your quest log if your settings differ.

Unlocking The Laziest Egg
The related quest is called The Laziest Egg. An indexed game-wiki result lists its initial prerequisites as photographing at least six Gudetama and completing Power Up the Gate and Gudetama Snap. Destructoid’s quest guide describes speaking with Pochacco to trigger the quest and start the recurring search. Because the wiki page itself was inaccessible when checked, confirm requirements in your in-game quest log if you do not see the quest.
After the first quest, the search becomes a recurring weekly activity. Destructoid reported a rotation of 52 Decorative Gudetama Plans in its 2025 guide; that is the guide’s count, not an official statistic independently verified here.

Where to get clues for regular Gudetama
For other Gudetama, Apple’s guide says the Collections menu provides location tips. It also recommends using the camera when you spot one: Apple says a photo helps unlock pieces of an eggy outfit. Apple’s Hello Kitty Island Adventure editorial page describes the game as an Apple Arcade title.
