Hints for Strands #374
- Theme clue: “Bearing gifts.”
- Gentler hint: Think about a person’s natural abilities.
- Spangram hint: It has seven letters and runs horizontally from the left edge to the right edge. Its path begins at row five on the left and reaches row six on the right.
For a little more help without seeing the answers, the theme-word initials are KN, TA, PR, ST, FL, SK, and CH. PR is the spangram. Parade’s March 12 guide gives these initials.
How to use in-game hints
Find three non-theme words to unlock an in-game hint. The hint reveals letters for a theme word; if a hint is already active, it shows the letters’ order. Theme words stay blue on the board, while the spangram turns yellow. The spangram describes the theme and connects opposite sides of the board; it can sometimes contain two words. You can drag letters or tap them to form words, using a double tap on the final letter to submit a word by tapping. These instructions are attributed to the New York Times in Parade’s gameplay guide.
