A PlayStation Network listing showed August 28, 2025 as the release date for the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. Konami later confirmed that date on February 12, 2025, and the game—officially titled METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER—has since passed its announced release date.
What did the PSN leak say?
On February 6, 2025, GameSpot reported that a PlayStation Network listing displayed August 28, 2025 as the release date for the remake. At the time, Konami and Sony had not confirmed the date, so it was a storefront listing reported as a leak—not yet an official announcement. GameSpot’s February 6 report

Was August 28, 2025 confirmed?
Yes. On February 12, 2025, Konami producer Noriaki Okamura announced August 28 as the release date in a post on the PlayStation Blog. Okamura said, “I’m proud to finally share the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with everybody.” PlayStation Blog’s announcement
The official PlayStation Store listing also gives August 28, 2025 as the PS5 version’s release date. The leak was therefore resolved by an official announcement; the date is now historical, not an unconfirmed upcoming release.
