Genshin Impact released on Xbox Series X|S on November 20, 2024. The countdown is over. Official Xbox announcements confirm the date, but do not specify a release hour or time zone, so there is no verified exact-time countdown to give.
When did Genshin Impact come out on Xbox?
Genshin Impact launched on Xbox Series X|S on November 20, 2024. Xbox Wire’s launch-day post was published on November 19 and said the game had officially arrived; that post date does not change the stated November 20 release date. Xbox Wire’s August 20, 2024 announcement gave the date, and its November 19, 2024 launch-day post confirmed availability.
What time did it release?
The official Xbox announcements establish the calendar date, but not an exact launch hour or time zone. A precise release time cannot be confirmed from those sources; avoid treating a regional store refresh or an unsourced community post as an official global launch time.
How can you play Genshin Impact on Xbox?
The game is free-to-play on Xbox Series X|S. Xbox Wire also names Xbox Cloud Gaming as an option and clarifies that Game Pass Ultimate is required for cloud play. That cloud requirement is separate from playing on a console: the game listing says Ultimate or Core is not required for console co-op.
| Access method | Supported option named by Xbox | Membership detail |
|---|---|---|
| Native console play | Xbox Series X|S | Xbox says Ultimate or Core is not required for console co-op. |
| Cloud play | Xbox Cloud Gaming | Game Pass Ultimate is required, according to Xbox Wire’s announcement. |
Does the Xbox version support cross-play and cross-progression?
Yes. Xbox Wire says the Xbox version supports both cross-play and cross-progression. Its announcement names PlayStation, PC, Android, iOS, and the Epic Games Store among the platforms in its cross-platform list.
What was included at launch?
The Xbox launch coincided with Version 5.2, “Tapestry of Spirit and Flame,” according to Xbox Wire’s November 19, 2024 update. That is launch-era context, not a statement about the game’s current version.
The August 2024 announcement also reported support for 15 text languages and four voice-over languages. Those figures describe language support at announcement time and should not be read as a current total.
