The article itself was not accessible for inspection, so that description is supported by the indexed listing rather than a reviewed article body: IMDb listing for the ScreenRant article.
“Most game-breaking ability ever” is therefore best read as headline language. The available sources provide no systematic comparison or benchmark showing that Acheron’s Technique is the most powerful ability in the game.
What Acheron’s Technique does in Version 2.1
A dated Version 2.1 guide describes the Technique as an overworld action that attacks enemies at the start of each wave, dealing Lightning damage and reducing their Toughness regardless of their weakness type. Against a normal enemy, it defeats the target directly, so combat does not begin. If the Technique hits no enemy, it does not consume a Technique Point. A March 16, 2024 HoYoLAB community summary of the Version 2.1 Special Program says Acheron builds Slashed Dream stacks through her Skill and debuffs applied by teammates, then uses those stacks to activate her Ultimate. A separate Version 2.1 HoYoLAB guide says Acheron’s debuff stacks transfer to the enemy with the most stacks when a target is defeated: HoYoLAB Acheron guide. This stack-and-Ultimate system is distinct from the Technique’s ability to remove normal overworld enemies before combat starts.
