Aberdeen Pig Farm is south of Emerald Ranch. If Arthur accepts the residents’ drink, he passes out and loses the cash he is carrying. After he wakes, return to the farm and search behind the portrait on the ground floor to recover the stash. You can take it as Arthur or leave it there for a widely reported opportunity to collect it as John in the epilogue.
Where to find Aberdeen Pig Farm

How to recover Arthur’s money
- Accept the drink at the farm. Arthur loses consciousness, and the residents take the cash he is carrying.
- After Arthur wakes, return to Aberdeen Pig Farm. Gamepressure says you can deal with the couple in any way; you do not need to follow a particular approach before searching.
- On the ground floor near the entrance, look under the stairs for an elderly woman’s portrait. Investigate the hiding place behind it to find the stolen money.
Take the money as Arthur or leave it for John?
The portrait stash gives you a choice between access to the cash during Arthur’s story and a reported way to preserve it for John. Red Dead Wiki describes leaving the money at the farm and collecting it in the epilogue as a player strategy; ordinary money should not be assumed to transfer automatically between characters. Homestead stash and achievement considerations
Aberdeen is one of seven homestead stash locations described by PowerPyx. Its guide says four recoveries are sufficient for the Breaking and Entering trophy or achievement. It also distinguishes the portrait stash from a lockbox in a side room: some Xbox player reports say the dinner encounter and portrait stash were needed for tracking, while PS4 reports say the rear lockbox counted. Do you need an official guide?
No. Aberdeen’s encounter can be completed using the steps above. Piggyback’s official page lists the Red Dead Redemption 2 Complete Official Guide in a 326-page Standard Edition softcover and a 384-page Collector’s Edition hardcover, both dated October 26, 2018 and marked sold out on that page.
