How to get more Silk in Chapter 1
Before Chapter 2, collect Silk from boss rewards and check each Keeper’s Shrine store you visit; shrine inventories vary. You can also search chests and pots, but container drops are not assured. For a specific extra purchase, ring the region’s three bells to reach Secret: Ancient Guanyin Temple – Grand Chamber, then visit its Keeper’s Shrine store. Prima Games reports that it sells two Silk at 600 Will apiece.
Because Chapter 1 supply is constrained, consider which armor recipe or upgrade best fits your current progress before spending Silk. The available guides do not establish a universal armor priority.

Repeatable Windrest Hamlet route
- Travel to the shrine on the bridge leading to Windrest Hamlet in Yellow Wind Formation.
- Defeat the nearby shield-bearing enemy, which Gameranx identifies as a Silk source.
- Rest at the shrine to reset enemies, then repeat the encounter.
Kevin Thielenhaus’s Gameranx guide, published September 6, 2024, describes this as a convenient repeatable route. It does not provide a measured comparison with other locations, a drop percentage or an efficiency rate, so treat it as a suggested farm rather than a proven fastest location.
Explore and fight as you progress
Chapter 2 enemies are generally described by the cited guides as a more practical Silk source than Chapter 1 enemies and one-off rewards. If you do not want to repeat a shrine loop, keep exploring and defeat enemies along the way; no documented figures establish which approach yields more Silk per unit of time.

What Silk is used for
Silk is an armor crafting and upgrade material. To upgrade armor, Destructoid’s guide says to unlock the Painted Realm through the Xu Dog and Chen Loong steps, then speak with Yin Tiger there.
