The episode listing describes its premise as an orphaned prodigy challenging the all-knowing AI ruling his city.
What is Secret Level episode 14 about?
Apple TV lists “Honor of Kings: The Way of All Things” as Season 1, Episode 14, with an 18-minute runtime and a December 17, 2024 release date. Its brief synopsis describes an orphaned prodigy who challenges the all-knowing AI that rules his city. Apple TV’s episode listing does not provide a scene-by-scene account.
How is it connected to Honor of Kings?
The connection is Yi Xing. In a December 17, 2024 announcement, game publisher Level Infinite, part of TiMi Studio, identifies him as a new Honor of Kings hero debuting in the episode. The publisher says the story traces him from learning Weiqi to using his mastery of the game in the most important match of his life, in an effort to save Chang’an. Level Infinite’s announcement is the clearest source for the character link and the story’s connection to the game.
What does Weiqi (Go) have to do with the story?
Weiqi, known internationally as Go, is central to how the publisher describes Yi Xing’s journey: learning the board game leads to the skill he brings to the decisive match. The publisher also says the episode uses a Chinese animation style that reflects Honor of Kings’ cultural heritage, particularly in its Weiqi sequences. The game is therefore linked to the episode through Yi Xing, the board-game motif, and the stated approach to the animation—not just its title.

Does the episode follow the game’s canon?
The available official description establishes that the episode tells a story about Yi Xing, but it does not establish that every event—including the AI ruling the city—is part of the game’s canon. Nor does it provide a detailed account of how the episode’s events fit into the game’s wider lore. It is safest to treat the installment as a standalone animated story featuring a Honor of Kings hero, rather than as a definitive account of the game’s full plot.

No. Digic’s production page describes Secret Level as an adult animated anthology of original stories set in video-game worlds. This installment is an animated anthology episode, not a playable adaptation of Honor of Kings.
