Blizzard ran the Diablo IV community event from December 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. through January 2, 2025, at 10 a.m. PST. Players worked toward five shared Treasure Goblin kill milestones; unlocked cache rewards were claimed at Goblin Square in Kyovashad, while some cosmetics were claimed in the Shop. The deadline to claim rewards has passed, so these are historical reward details, not active instructions.
How Slay Ride to Hell worked
Blizzard described Slay Ride to Hell as a global community challenge: all players contributed to shared milestones by killing Treasure Goblins. In Blizzard Entertainment’s event announcement, the call to action was: “Band together with the entire Diablo IV community to reach global goblin slaying milestones, and tantalizing rewards will be yours for the taking.” The five thresholds were 5 million, 10 million, 15 million, 25 million, and 40 million goblin kills.

When a milestone unlocked, players could claim its cache at Goblin Square in Kyovashad. The announcement presented the contents below as samples from caches containing multiple rewards, rather than a complete inventory of every possible item.

These are selected contents from Blizzard’s event announcement. “Expansion-exclusive” refers to the Vessel of Hatred eligibility notes attached to the listed rewards; the announcement’s base-game and expansion distinction varied by item and tier.

How claiming worked—and what is no longer available
During the event, unlocked caches were claimed at Goblin Square in Kyovashad. Blizzard also said additional free cosmetics would appear in the Shop after the community reached tiers 3, 4, and 5; cosmetics marked with an asterisk had to be claimed there after unlocking. Players had until the event ended on January 2, 2025, to claim each unlocked tier’s rewards. That deadline has passed, and Blizzard’s announcement does not establish that the event rewards can be obtained now.
Vessel of Hatred eligibility and other event bonuses
Vessel of Hatred owners had access to additional caches and could find additional Treasure Goblins in Nahantu. Blizzard said players who bought the expansion while the event was live could claim those additional caches. That was a condition for this expired event, not evidence of a current offer or present-day purchase benefit.

Two other time-limited activities overlapped with Slay Ride to Hell:
- Mother’s Blessing: Ran December 17, 2024, through January 2, 2025. Blizzard said it increased experience and Gold multiplicatively in Seasonal and Eternal Realms and across all World Tiers, stacking with Elixirs and the Urn of Aggression.
- Spiritborn trial: Ran December 19, 2024, through January 3, 2025, for eligible players who had not purchased Vessel of Hatred, on Battle.net, Xbox, and PlayStation. The trial capped characters at level 25; Blizzard said progress could carry over to the expansion if purchased.
Event-period hotfix
Blizzard’s December 19, 2024 hotfix announcement said it fixed an issue in which killing some Treasure Goblins did not count toward the Treasure Goblin Nemesis Challenge, and increased event goblin spawns. This was an adjustment made during the event; it does not reopen the challenge or its reward claim period.
