You can’t file a new Fortnite refund claim with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC): the final deadline was July 9, 2025, and the FTC is no longer accepting claims. If you already filed after February 14, 2025, the FTC says to wait while it reviews and validates claims.
How do I file a Fortnite refund FTC claim?
You can’t submit one now. The FTC’s Fortnite Refunds page says it is no longer accepting claims. The program compensated eligible players under the FTC’s settlement with Epic Games; it was not the same as requesting a refund for a recent purchase from Epic or a platform store.

What was the deadline to file a claim?
The final deadline was July 9, 2025. The FTC reopened the process in June 2025 and set that date as the last day to apply. An earlier FTC announcement had extended a previous deadline to February 29, 2024, but that was superseded by the final 2025 deadline.
Who was eligible to apply?
The FTC’s program covered people who experienced at least one of these situations during the specified period:

The person submitting a claim had to be at least 18. A parent or guardian had to submit it for someone younger than 18. These criteria describe the now-closed program; they do not allow a new claim to be filed.
What should I do if I already filed?
If you filed after February 14, 2025, the FTC says you do not need to take further action right now. The agency is reviewing and validating claims. It expects additional payments in 2026, but its current program page does not give a specific payment date or schedule.

If your claim was approved, use the payment method you selected when you filed. The FTC says to cash a mailed check within 90 days or accept a PayPal payment within 30 days. For questions, contact the refund administrator using the number listed on the FTC’s program page: 1-833-915-0880.
How much was the Fortnite settlement refund?
There is no single guaranteed amount for each claimant. The FTC says an approved payment depends on factors including how many people file claims. In its June 2025 announcement, the FTC reported that the settlement required Epic Games to pay $245 million and that the payment round then reported included 969,173 payments totaling more than $126 million. The FTC also said an earlier December 2024 round had made 629,344 payments totaling more than $72 million. Those program totals do not predict an individual claimant’s payment.

How can I recognize a Fortnite refund scam?
The FTC says it will never demand money, threaten you, tell you to transfer money, or promise a prize to obtain a refund. A message asking you to pay to file or receive this refund is a scam warning sign. Don’t pay a supposed claims agent or give payment details in response to an unsolicited message. Check the official FTC program page and report suspected fraud at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
