Meet Primeval Sorcerer Azur on Mt. Gelmir
Travel to the area near Hermit Village on Mt. Gelmir and find Primeval Sorcerer Azur. Meeting him gives you the Comet Azur sorcery. Return to Sellen at Waypoint Ruins and continue speaking with her to unlock the next part of the quest.
Find Lusat with the Sellian Sealbreaker
Sellen gives you the Sellian Sealbreaker and directs you toward Master Lusat. Take it to Sellia Hideaway in Caelid: Lusat is beyond a magical seal inside the cave. This stage is associated with the Stars of Ruin sorcery.
#1 Best Overall
- Collaborating with George R.R. Martin to create the ELDEN RING mythos has been a genuinely delightful experience and a source of wonderful inspiration. The team is working hard to ensure that the world of ELDEN RING will be a fascinating place for players to explore, filled with peril and wonder from its furthest reaches to its lowest depths. This is a FromSoftware title through and through, rich in fantasy and RPG action. We sincerely hope you look forward to it.
- Building the world of ELDEN RING with Miyazaki-san and his team was a treat! The graphics, mythos, and action-RPG gameplay will deliver an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for people to see what ELDEN RING has in store for them.” Said George R.R. Martin.
Find Sellen at Witchbane Ruins
After progressing Sellen’s dialogue, go to Witchbane Ruins on the Weeping Peninsula. The real Sellen is being held in the cellar there. Continue the conversation until she gives you her Primal Glintstone.
Move the Primal Glintstone to Sellen’s puppet body
Take the Primal Glintstone to the hidden cellar near Ranni’s Rise in the Three Sisters area. Use it to transfer Sellen into the puppet body. This is a later quest location, distinct from both her first appearance at Waypoint Ruins and her imprisoned body at Witchbane Ruins.

Choose Sellen or Jerren at Raya Lucaria Grand Library
Continue through the remaining Sellen and Jerren stages until the two summon signs appear outside the Raya Lucaria Grand Library. Your choice sets the quest’s concluding path:
| Sign | Choice | Immediate outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Sellen’s sign | Assist Sellen | Ally with Sellen for this quest conclusion. |
| Jerren’s sign | Challenge Sellen with Jerren | Ally with Jerren against Sellen for the alternative conclusion. |
These are alternative endings to Sellen’s quest. The available walkthrough evidence establishes the allegiance choice, but not a complete, verified comparison of every reward or wider quest consequence. If a particular item or cross-quest effect matters to you, check a current, version-specific guide before choosing.

Why Sellen may seem to be in the wrong place
Sellen has several quest-related locations, so looking only at the first one can make it seem as though she has disappeared. Waypoint Ruins is her initial merchant location; Witchbane Ruins holds her imprisoned body later in the quest; and the cellar near Ranni’s Rise is where the Primal Glintstone is transferred to a puppet body. Jerren is part of the later stages, and the final decision is made at the Grand Library.
