To get Azure Flames in Deepwoken, build your character to 70 Flamecharm and 40 Willpower, then choose the Azure Flames talent card when it appears in a talent hand. If you do not have Flamecharm yet, you can select it at character creation or unlock it later through Amashi.
Azure Flames requirements
Azure Flames is a Common Flamecharmer talent. Its listed requirements are 70 Flamecharm and 40 Willpower; meeting them makes the card eligible to appear, but does not grant the talent automatically. The [Deepwoken Builder Wiki talent entry] and [Deepwoken Wiki Flamecharm reference] list the requirements.
How to unlock Azure Flames
- Get Flamecharm. If your character does not already have the attunement, choose it at character creation or unlock it from Amashi, the Flamecharm trainer at Songseeker Wilds. Bring Amashi two Dying Embers, receive the Hearthblood Potion, and drink it to unlock Flamecharm. This is the attunement unlock route, not a separate Azure Flames quest.
- Meet both talent requirements. Raise Flamecharm to 70 and Willpower to 40.
- Choose the card. Take Azure Flames when it appears in a talent hand. A community talents reference also lists the Mystic dialogue option “I speak to the flames” for Azure Flames; see the [Deepwoken Playground Wiki talents page].
What Azure Flames changes
The talent’s description says many of your flames turn blue. Its listed effects are a 12.5% increase to burn damage, greater radius and posture damage for Eruptions, and a 25% longer Flame of Denial duration. Flamecharm mantras, Flamecharm legendary weapons, and Eruptions can also turn blue, according to the [Flamecharm reference].
If Azure Flames does not appear
- Check that the character has both 70 Flamecharm and 40 Willpower; having only one is not enough for the listed requirements.
- Remember that qualifying stats make the card eligible, rather than unlocking it automatically. Keep an eye out for it in a talent hand.
- If using the Mystic, check for the dialogue option “I speak to the flames,” which the community talents reference associates with Azure Flames.
These mechanics are documented by community-maintained wikis rather than official developer documentation, and may change with game updates. Check the current in-game card if its requirements or effects appear different.
