There isn’t one. Grand Theft Auto V has cheat codes for other effects in Story Mode, but no built-in code that adds cash—and no legitimate “top 10” list of money codes to try.
Does GTA 5 have a money cheat code?
No. Current cheat references report that GTA V has no money cheat in Story Mode, and PC Gamer says there is no such cheat even in single-player. The “Top 10” premise is therefore false; any list of button sequences claiming to add cash is not a list of built-in GTA V money cheats. GTA BOOM’s cross-platform cheat guide and PC Gamer’s cheat-code guide both address the absence of a money code.

This is a finding from those current guides, not a direct Rockstar announcement that no money cheat exists. Rockstar’s support pages explain cheat-code and online-money policies, but do not provide a complete cheat list or make that specific statement.
Do cheat codes work in GTA Online?
The ordinary cheats covered by current guides are for Story Mode; they do not grant money in GTA Online. Avoid money generators and services promising to add online cash. Rockstar says it routinely removes illegitimately gained GTA$ and adjusts RP. Its policy page also says, “GTA$ purchased via Shark Cards will remain on the account and are not affected by illegitimately gained in-game money removal.” That statement concerns those removals; it is not a guarantee about every account action or future policy. See Rockstar’s online-money removal policy, last updated May 2, 2024.

What happens when you use other GTA 5 cheats?
Rockstar warns that “Starting a mission with off-mission cheat codes enabled will disable those cheats.” In other words, a cheat activated outside a mission will not remain enabled when you start one. This guidance is about cheat behavior, not a way to earn money. For details, consult Rockstar’s support page on saving and achievements while using GTA V cheat codes.

How to handle a supposed GTA 5 money code
- Do not waste time entering a claimed cash-granting button sequence: GTA V has no built-in money cheat.
- Check whether a cheat guide is describing Story Mode or GTA Online. A Story Mode cheat is not an online-money method.
- Do not provide account details or payment to a third-party money generator. These services are not legitimate GTA V cheat codes.
