KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS announced that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PS5 pre-orders would open on March 17, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time, with the game scheduled to ship on June 26, 2025. Those dates have passed. The announcement listed an early-unlock Quokka hologram and three silver skeleton sets as pre-order bonuses; its higher-tier editions added early access and other items.
What the announcement confirmed
KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS and PlayStation revealed the PS5 ship date, trailer, and edition details at the SXSW panel in Austin on March 9, 2025. The announced pre-order opening was March 17, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time. The announced ship date was June 26, 2025. These are historical dates, not upcoming windows. The terms below are those in KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS’ March 9, 2025 announcement; they do not establish current prices or availability.

What the pre-order bonus included
The announced bonus was an early unlock of the Custom Hologram: Quokka, plus three silver equipment sets, each at levels 1–3:
- Battle Skeleton: Silver, levels 1–3
- Boost Skeleton: Silver, levels 1–3
- Bokka Skeleton: Silver, levels 1–3
The official announcement also listed these pre-order items with the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions.

How the announced PS5 editions compared
The prices in the table are the original US dollar prices announced in March 2025, not current offers. The Collector’s Edition included a digital game code, not a physical copy of the game.

What the two premium editions added
Both the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions were listed with 48-hour early access, beginning June 24, two days before the announced June 26 ship date. Their shared digital extras were the early-unlock level 1 Machine Gun (MP Bullets), gold Battle, Boost, and Bokka Skeletons at levels 1–3, and the three numbered patches. The Collector’s Edition added the physical items in the table, while the game itself remained a digital download.

Later PC release information
KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS later announced that the PC edition would arrive on March 19, 2026, with pre-purchase starting that day through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PC announcement listed the Quokka hologram and silver skeletons as pre-purchase bonuses. Its Digital Deluxe details included a level 1 Machine Gun (MP), gold level 1–3 Battle, Boost, and Bokka Skeletons, and patches 70, 71 (called “Chiral Cat” in that announcement), and 72.
The developer also described full mouse-and-keyboard support, DualSense integration, 21:9 ultrawide support on PC and PS5, and 32:9 support on PC. The announced PC release and pre-purchase dates have passed; current storefront listings and availability are not established here.
