Borderlands 4’s weekly activities refresh on Thursday. The exact hour is not confirmed by Gearbox, and the times published by guide sites disagree, so treat any clock time as approximate until you see the refresh yourself.
What refreshes each Thursday
Gearbox groups three elements into the weekly rotation:

- Weekly Big Encore boss
- Weekly Wildcard Mission
- Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine location
The rewards and the selected boss or mission can change from one rotation to the next, so a Thursday refresh can mean new content, not just a timer reset.
The reset hour: what is confirmed and what is not
Gearbox’s official support and announcement pages confirm the Thursday rotation but do not state a clock time. The hours below come from third-party guides, and they do not agree:

The two guide times are one hour apart, and they cannot both be right for the same moment. The Mobalytics conversions match standard time (UTC-8 for Pacific). During daylight saving time, Pacific is UTC-7, so a time written as “10 a.m. PST” would fall at 11 a.m. Pacific in the summer. The label is therefore unreliable for converting to your own clock.
How the refresh is delivered
On August 6, 2026, Gearbox announced that weekly activities would be delivered through its servers instead of through weekly game updates. The announcement reads: “As long as you’re playing Borderlands 4 with an internet connection, you’ll see the latest batch of Weekly Activities each week.” Gearbox also said it would post the activities on its website and its Steam news hub.

In practice, you need an internet connection to receive the new batch. Playing offline does not give you the current week’s rotation.

- Note that the refresh falls on Thursday. The published sources do not give a menu path for the weekly listing, so look for the weekly activities section in the game’s menus while online.
- Check Gearbox’s weekly activity post on its website or its Steam news hub for the current Big Encore boss, Wildcard Mission and Black Market location.
- If you need the hour, convert it yourself. Do not rely on a guide’s “PST” or “EST” label during daylight saving time.
If the activities you see do not match the current week’s post, make sure you are connected to the internet and then check again after a restart of the game.
