For other illegal or salvaged cargo, Grim HEX and the No Questions Asked terminals at salvage yards are the usual options, but neither is guaranteed to buy every item, so check the terminal before you commit to a long trip.
Jumptown contraband: Grim HEX is the required destination
The clearest rule comes from RSI’s Dynamic Event Week guide. Its instructions for the unlawful path state: “On this path, all contraband must be taken to Grim HEX to be sold off, regardless of where the mission is taking place.” That sentence is specific to this event path. It does not establish that every mission-tagged or illegal item in the game follows the same rule.
Other illegal and salvaged cargo
Outside the Jumptown instructions, the available guidance points to two kinds of destination.
Grim HEX
RSI’s Observist Dark feature describes Grim HEX as a place where scavenged and black-market goods are sold, positioned away from authorities. The same feature warns that the area is dangerous. Treat it as a risk-bearing trade hub, not a safe default, and plan your route and exit accordingly.

No Questions Asked terminals at salvage and scrap yards
RSI’s Cargo Guide advises that No Questions Asked terminals, typically found at salvage or scrap yards, are where sensitive goods can be offloaded. That guide describes Alpha 3.23, which is well behind the current build, so read it as background on how these terminals are meant to work rather than as a list of what each one buys today. A current community salvage guide, updated for the October 2026 game version, also names Grim HEX and salvage yards as sale points and notes that salvaged cargo can include illegal drugs. The same guide cautions that these locations may pay less and offer less security than ordinary city trade locations.

Start with the origin of the cargo. If it came from the Jumptown unlawful path, go straight to Grim HEX. If it is salvage, pick a No Questions Asked terminal nearest your route and check whether it takes that item before flying there. If the cargo carries a mission flag, the sources do not settle whether a black-market terminal will accept it, so test with one unit first where possible.

When a terminal will not complete the sale
A failed sale is often a landing problem, not a cargo problem. According to RSI’s Commodities support article, your ship must land legally to appear in the trading terminal. Unrefined mined ore is a separate case: it must go to a refinery rather than a regular commodity terminal. Check both before assuming a black-market terminal has rejected your cargo.

Grim HEX has the strongest official association with contraband, and it is the explicit destination for Jumptown event cargo. Salvage yards are a second outlet, but current community guidance describes lower prices and weaker security there. Compare the specific destination and cargo rather than treating either option as a universal best choice.

Terminal inventories, demand, cargo ownership flags, mission-item restrictions, and game patches can all change. The sources available for this guide do not establish current sale limits, live prices, or a complete list of which terminals accept which illegal items. Treat any specific price or profit figure you find elsewhere as unverified until you see it in-game.
