The Blood Rock in Bloodborne’s The Old Hunters DLC is in the Fishing Hamlet, on a raised platform at the end of the Lower Breeding Pit. The pit branches left from the route toward Orphan of Kos.
Where to find the DLC Blood Rock
Look for the Lower Breeding Pit in the Fishing Hamlet. The Blood Rock pickup is on a raised platform at the pit’s end. To reach the pit, take the left branch from the route toward Orphan of Kos. The Fishing Hamlet location reference lists the treasure as one Blood Rock.
This is a late-DLC location, not part of the Hunter’s Nightmare’s opening area. The available route details establish the pit and its landmark but not every turn from the Fishing Hamlet lamp, so follow the route toward Orphan of Kos and watch for the left branch.
How to enter The Old Hunters
If you have not unlocked the expansion area, PlayStation’s November 20, 2015 instructions give this entry sequence:

- Purchase and download The Old Hunters.
- Defeat the Cathedral Ward boss, then examine the altar at the back of the room to change the in-game time to night.
- Collect the Eye of a Blood-Drunk Hunter from a messenger in the Hunter’s Dream.
- Leave Oedon Chapel through its left-hand exit and trigger the event at the right-hand end of the square. This takes you to the Hunter’s Nightmare.
- Light the area’s lamp. After that, you can travel to and from the area using an Awakening Headstone in the Hunter’s Dream.
These are the steps for entering the DLC area; they do not describe the full route from its first lamp to the Fishing Hamlet. PlayStation’s access instructions were published by Masaaki Yamagiwa, Producer at SIE Japan Studio.
What the Blood Rock upgrades
Blood Rock is a weapon fortification material for the final upgrade step: it takes a weapon from +9 to +10. Its in-game description reads, “A large solid chunk that forms in coldblood.”

Other Blood Rock sources
The Fishing Hamlet pickup is the DLC treasure described here. Blood Rocks also have other sources, including a main-game pickup and Chalice Dungeon routes, but those are separate from this fixed Fishing Hamlet treasure and have their own progression or availability. If your goal is the DLC one, the location to search is the Lower Breeding Pit.
